Good afternoon everyone. Sorry I've not been on much, might try and jump back on the band wagon in November.
Just noticed that M@ximiles are no longer offering M&S vouchers via post. The new offer is an e-voucher/gift card however it states it can be spent instore. Does anyone know how this works? Do I need to be registered online with M&S?0 -

I hadnt seen that Aspella. They must have only just changed it as I had some M&S vouchers last month that came by post.Good afternoon everyone. Sorry I've not been on much, might try and jump back on the band wagon in November.

It just means you get a gift card rather than a voucher, if you end up ordering a few you can take them instore and get the balance moved over to one card. It also means you can use the balance online OR instore which if fantastic. That's really good.
I'm not overly impressed with maximiles, I ordered a gift voucher for hubby's stocking over about five weeks ago and it hasn't arrived, I guess that's normal for most sites. Just hope it arrives before Christmas.
Not feeling overly keen on chow tbh, I know it's only copying over reviews but it's going up very slowly. I could probably reach £5 if I copied all my current beauty reviews over but then your rates go down. I think I'm probably not enjoying it as it takes alot more effort to make alot less. Will stick with it this month but I think my time is maybe best spent elsewhere.Comping wishlist for 2017

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It states that the voucher code will be emailed to you. Do you know what you have to do with the voucher code?0 -
I read that too Aspella. went to have a look. I don't know how it works without actually buying one and trying it out. I am going to see if I can spend the paper ones I have just in case they decide to stop accepting them. I am sure I can find something to buy with them.0

savvy i think we have all thought that at some point with C, but I promise it gets better if you get some of the premium fund. Today, my balance is £36.20. I got £30 from PF, so the £6.20 is pretty measly and it is hard to keep the faith that it will go up. Rufus has more than me, though I have hardly been on at all this month.0

Sorry Aspella, I thought you said it was a gift card they send now instead (that's how I read it on their site too) and the gift card can be used instore and online. They will still accept paper vouchers, there are many different types of vouchers for M&S these days, they have to accept the voucher until the expiry date (unless they go into administration which wont happen with M&S).
Thanks michelle, I only had one E so I guess that's why I wouldn't see any of the premium fund. I was lucky to get an E today though so will keep it up this month and see how it goes. How often does the premium fund get paid, is it each week? Because I will have to get my skates on to try to get some more E's if that's the case. If anyone has any pointers on how I can improve my reviews I would be very grateful. I might sit down and do a lipstick review later and add swatches as that is always very useful.Comping wishlist for 2017

Good luck with the E's Savvy xx
I have just put another one on C, hopefully will take me over the £10 mark for this month. The same thing isnt on DY and I coudn't find it online either so I didnt bother suggesting it. I was going to do a film review for DY instead but opened up the window and my mind went blank lol so I will leave it until tomorrow and try again then.
Forgot to add, my dot has gone blue now.0 -
well done rufus on going blue. It takes some time to change through the colours, but you will notice more rates when people know you stick around.
The premium fund is once a month, round about the 15th. So any E awarded in October, you won't benefit from till the 15th of Nov approximately.
All I can say is, use some of the formatting, and try and include a picture as some people skim read/rate. Also, give out as many Es as you can, and people will remember that. As you go through the dots you can give out more Es per day, though I am still only on 8 myself. I try and be fair and not always give the same person too.
With c, no hard and fast rules.
Also, if you spot anything with no reviews and you write the 1st one, you get double the pay for the rates on that one. They are worth doing.
Just try your best, it is all you can do.0 -
Savvy - you've probably noticed that the layout is different on Chow, so where a review looks really long on DoU, on chow it looks really small - I reckon half of the people don't actually read what you've written, and go by length, so put plenty of spaces in, and fill it out a bit.
I put a bit about the history of the company, and then why I bought it. Put a lot of discription about fragrance, what it does, etc. If it's a washing machine or something, have the instruction manual to hand, and then write it thinking of all the things you would have liked to know before you made your first purchase.
Your reviews are really good - I have to get back round to do rating (I only tend to rate when I'd done a review - everyone will tell you, you might not see me all week, and then I do a whole bunch in one go.
I rated about twenty of rufus's in one day last week). I'll get there I promise.
Nicky & Legend - how odd your internet went off as mine came on. I'm glad you're up and running again. I'm so glad I've got my dongle. Friday night I used £1.50 of credit but earned over £5 from surveys so it was worth it. Plus it kept me sane - I'm sure I get withdrawal symptoms if the internet is down.
I'm all shopped out now and my feet are dropping off. OH took DD2 to the park, and left me and DD1 to walk around the shops. I spent over £50 in Boots, and got the extra points. I have £40 of points on my card ready for the sales now.
That was the last of the presents I needed to buy, so my pressies are all done.
I'm not buying one more thing for Christmas (besides food). I still need a couple of bits for DD2's birthday in January but I have plenty of time. I remembered to go to Marks and get my cookie Jar, so I'm happy and pennyless now. I only had to put £20 on my CC - which I've made in ebay sales so far (my things are ending in half an hour), so I can pay that off straight away. Just the wrapping to do - and writing christmas cards - that is the worst job ever, I hate writing them. I :heartpuls M.S.E.
