  • Well done Pablos on the redeem. I'm only at £9 myself, so will be a while.

emma - can you not swap a shift? Or swap some childcare with a friend? It is an emergency after all with DH being in hospital. How awful. Are any of us near you and could help out?

Elysia i will take it a bit easier over half term day times. I have plans to meet friends with kids on quite a few of the days. DH told me he has 2 days of overtime organised too over the next couple of weekends, which thankfully will earn a lot more than me.

Hello Nicky - good to see you again. :) How's your sore throat now, and did you survive parents evening OK? How's bump doing? Sorry for all the questions. ;)

My throat is getting gradually better thanks, at least I'll be able to rest it over the next week. Bump is fine :D. The baby is unbelievably active and my belly looks like an alien is trying to explode out! Yesterday I had to stop a lesson so the kids could watch as it was moving that much it was putting them off, they were all staring at it!

I received a £10 Asda voucher from Maxi today so I'm pleased with them as that didn't take long.

Sorry to hear about OH Pablo, hope things go ok with him and you at home, glad you got the child care sorted, one thing less to worry about xx

Pablos, well done on redeeming on Viva. I am up to £11 but its going slow on there.

Elysia, hope you get your internet back today.

My customer contacted me last night, said her computer isnt working so had to wait for OH to bring the works one home. We missed each other online so I have sent her a couple of photos (bad ones from my phone) and hopefully she will decide she wants it. She wont be online again until this evening so I wont know until then.

I am a couple of pennies away from £10 on C now and near to £18.50 on DY so really need to push that one and get it redeemed.

Some more videos on Maxi xx
  • Im a Brit living in Spain and trying hard to make some extra cash for Xmas. I've been on to some of the survey sites and either as soon as they know Im in Spain they say there are no surveys available, or they start off translating into English and half way through the survey revert to Spanish with no way of getting the translator button back. Can anyone help with this translator problem or any other ideas on how to make money in the sun (its raining at the mo) without any outlay. Thanks:wave:

Hiya Snooks and welcome. That's a difficult one to answer, living in the UK, I've never encountered that problem before, so I don't know how best to rectify it. If I were you, I'd ask make a new thread and ask the question on the Up Your Income Board. I really hope someone can help you. Have you tried writing reviews - we use Ciao and Dooyoo and they both have European sites. We wouldn't be able to rate you, so you would be going it alone so to speak, (but *whispers* I can't see why you can't join the UK site anyway - they have members on there who live in Poland, and Japan, that I know of ;) and we'll be able to rate you then.)

Good morning everyone else. I have internet woohoo. It came back on about twenty minutes ago. :)

Michelle - I'm glad you've got plans. They way your post read last night, was that you were upping the game again. I'm really glad OH has some overtime. That'll help things out.

Emma - I'm glad you got childcare sorted. I'm sorry OH is in hospital though. What a shame. I hope they get a move on and give him his op now.

Rufus - phew, thank goodness your lady came back. I would imagine the cushion would sell if you put it in your shop anyway.:D

Bunbun - I received your card this morning. What a lovely gesture, Thank you.

I'm off out today with OH and the kids. Only shopping but DD's are excited, as were picking up a few bits and pieces for Christmas. DD2's last pressie came today, so I can get on with the wrapping again now. I have 14 things ending on Eb@y later on, so hopefully that should replace any money spent. :)

OMG! I have only just got on here and have been trying since about 8.30am! Seems there has been problems in my area with the net! I tried the touchpad and phone and they wouldnt let me on the forums on here or tesco or hotukdeals! It would let me on Facebook, ebay and my emails to get some surveys done! PHEW! You so dont realise how much you rely on things until they dont work! I posted on Facebook and seems a few people around here having issues so not just me!
Off now to check grabbit to see if I have missed a total bargain all because of modern technology failing!!!

  • Morning all, hope your all well today :)

I woke up with terrible stomach pains this morning and was unable to get out of bed, couple of painkillers and a hot water bottle I was able to get up a few hours later. Have no idea what caused it but I hope to never go through that again. On the bright side, the tooth fairy visited last night!! I spent £2.50 initially, so have made a £2.50 profit and 13 more packs to go yet. Having internet issues today as well, for some reason my browser keeps blocking viva surveys which is annoying as I am half way to my second redeem this month. As they pay at the end of the next month ahead I need this redeem to go through this month otherwise we will miss Christmas!

Glad you have the childcare sorted Emma, tackle one problem at a time and it wont seem as bad to deal with. Things will work out, if your really getting stuck for cash the mystery shopping may be a good way to get a bit of extra cash on top but like any money making it's a case of when will you get paid.

Glad your internet is back Elysia, it's awful when you can't get online and do what you need to. My dongle is great but when you watch at how quickly the usage goes up it's shocking. Have good day shopping, your so organised! I still have a toffee the pony to get for dd and some gifts for the boys in the family, and stocking fillers, I'm sure there is a lot more to be done but can't face it at the moment. I have been getting presents but for dd's birthday next year perhaps I should just concentrate on Christmas for now.

Well done with your money earned so far michelle, it does add up doesn't it. Do take it easy as you wont be able to money make if your run down and ill.

I hope the lady goes ahead with the purchase Rufus, she has stayed in touch so that sounds positive.

I hope your internet is fixed soon legend, hope you haven't missed anything. Haven't been on grabbit yet but it's usually quiet at the weekends.
    Comping wishlist for 2017

  • Legend - I've only just been able to get on here as well. I've been trying since about 9 and it's only been this site that wouldn't work so I thought there must be a problem on here.

Snooks - I dont know about the translating problem but I would also recommend trying reviews. Like Elysia said, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to join the UK sites as it makes no difference if you live in Spain, you still have an opinion on the product! The only thing to think about is payment method on the sites. If it's vouchers then you'd need to make sure you could use the vouchers where you live, unless you come back to England frequently.

Rufus - thanks for the Maxi info, off to do the vids now. I'm really liking Maxi at the mo :)
