Hello all :j
Thankyou so much for your kind thoughts. It means so much.I once woke up, and was unable to walk (a long time ago - I was 3 at the time), It took a week for feeling to come back into my legs - I had a water infection! It's one of things I remember like yesterday - It was so odd.
elysia - How strange -I remember when I was little waking up and not being able to walk...........could never remember what it was as I was so young......just remember I couldn't walk and mum getting the doctor out.
Maybe that was a water infection ...............oh if only this was the same.............sadly not. Still, I'm trying not to let it get to me too much.........neighbours daughter made a door hanger with pockets and gave me at christmas and thats now fixed to my walking frame so I can get whatever craft bits I need, pop them in the pockets and take them to the kitchen.........all done in one journey..............lol
Can't see me doing much other than card making at the minute though............still its a start. Don't want to let this beat me.:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone, haven't caught up on the thread as its moved so fast!
Hope everyone is ok with bumps, cold flu and whatever else is hanging around out there at the moment. Nearly everyone I see has cold or feels rough and rundown and coughing. My cold finally went after 3 weeks so feeling pretty back to normal now
Just thought I'd pop on to say I'm busy busy busy with heavy course reading revising and writing assignments etc - or at least trying to motivate myself to - and then thinking I'll do this instead - like this afternoon
I made some pink grapefruit marmalade and it went very well using the whole fruit version
Made 4 decent size jars for 59p each - 3 pink grapefruits for £1 and 1kg preserving sugar for £1.37 I think you can use granulated sugar instead to make it even cheaper and 80ml lemon juice out of a bottle in the cupboard
Tastes nice, cut the peel a bit too thick so will see how this looks on toast and maybe try to do it thinner next time as I think I'll make another batch since the citrus fruits are in seasonfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
susan - no need for frozen peas as noo swelling.......just awful lot of pain:eek:
Least OH is on the mend............hes got appt at fracture clinic so will know more when he's been there. He still needs a stick and painkillers........between us we must have half a chemists shop.............lol
Did your back get sorted out or are you still suffering with it? 20 years is a long time........my backs been bad on and off for some years but nothing I couldn't cope with till now. Getting very attached to my walking frame............lol
The lad we look after has been really good........he's my 'arm support' to go up the stairs to the loo............lol He's been a big help to both me and OH since OH had his fracture and his mates keep wanting to help where they can so we're coping.
Not looking forward to tomorrow morning.........OH will be at clinic and our lad's got a soc.services meeting -should only last an hour but its just a bit scary knowing I'll be on my own.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary - just get your lad to make a flask of tea before he goes, sort out your craft stuff, and sit and don't move until he comes back in. I hope everything will be better soon.I :heartpuls M.S.E.

Hello All,
Just a quick catchup as havent posted in a while.
Firstly must send a HUGE hug to MARY. I sincerely hope that you are able to recover from your injury. I fractured my spine after a fall down the stairs 4 years ago and still suffer with limited ability and pain.
I've not done mush in the way of thrifty shopping, though have managed to get some trio packs of earrings from Adsa for the girls, 50 each pack down from £3 so a saving of £5. They are xmas themed so will make good stocking fillers. Also got a reduced t-shirt for the children to give to their dad for fathers day.
Well done to all, some fab bargains been had.

Good evening - and its a sensible time for me!! I sure i've gone through vampire stage, its just the new batch of medication, luckly haven't got much more of them left.
What a week, Had Miss Hoodie off school Thurs/Fri with this lovely winter sickness and tum bug, - weird as its like a 12hrs main issues, then 36hrs of feeling rough but not being ill. As they say share and share alike, - Fri I came down with it, Fri ngt was dads turn, Sat morning mum got it, it hit her worst, shes been in bed for 2 days.
Had a panic Sat, realised that I hadn't done an assisgnment for OU, only a little course 3 months I'd done the book and all the work in the 1st month, so mad rush yesterday afternoon, finished at 3am this morning - deterimed not to let it carry over - off in post Mon - as long as they get it by Wed, be in time.
Susan - Hope your ok, trying to get back to normal sleeping hrs
Cdsmiller - re car boots, literally anything goes, your always get someone who only wants to pay 20p regardless of what the item is, just would say if your taking jewellery or more expensive items keep them central to you. Generally there fun, and 99% of the people are ok. The other thing like you said is the early starts - our school is advertised to start at 8am, but on a summer event, we try to get there for 6am, and theres always about 10 cars all set up by then, think the earliest record we had (not me as such - the pta) someone had been there since 5am to get a good pitch!
Esmer - Hope DD better, love the cake its beautiful
Tazmac - wow - those ideas are fab, ur a genius
- batter about to die be back in mo xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Junior j - your goddaughter sounds a little angel, good for you re travelling, if don't do it now your never do it. I didn't go abroad (bar France and Holland with the school), till I was 28, and that was Disneyland Paris, then Tunisia, in hindsight I wish I'd of gone sooner. I've made up for it a little bit since, but afraid I've got acstomed to all inclusive holidays and as for Miss hoodie, must be 4star or above, all inclusive and long haul if possible, but long haul must be 1st class........ this is from a girl whos just been to Tunisa - but got spolit rotten there. x
Get yourself on the sister thread, and sign up for any survey sites etc, and add that to the holiday pot xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
