Well done JJ - i'm proud of you. I've just done my new wii game - my workout coach - dance fitness or something like that. It's great and reduced to £10 at Asda at the moment. It shows you home many calories you've used, and shows a picture of what that equates to - 39 cals = a sweet, 175 cals a small bowl of rice pudding, 210 cals = a hot choc, So I worked my way up and worked off a slice of Pizza - It's addictive, I wanted to carry on. I may do a whole pizza tomorrow. LOL

Thanks for explaining again sugarspun - that's what I do but it hasn't worked the last twice I think. Maybe I was just unlucky. It's will a bargain anyway - cash back it better though ;)

OH just came in and surprised me - we're off out tonight, to the cinema. In 8 years since we had DD2 (well next week it will be) We've only gone out on our own of an evening twice. I'm quite looking forward to it. :D

table top sales / craft sales - do you have a free weekly paper, - our area we do and all the schools etc advertise in there.
Generally car boot £5, craft fair £20 table.

generally the car boots in our area (the schools) they start Easter and go through to Oct - the PTA usually arranges them, as our school liases with 3 others so we don't clash dates.

My tip is instead of parking the car level so you've got the boot to you, park the car sideways on, got front dr, and back door, that way you can get 2 tables in-line with the car, and only need to pay for 1 car space.

A lot of pubs do them as well there advertised in the local papers, I personally find schools are better than pubs, as to an extent u already have an a built in audience - the parents tend to come and look around.

Good luck with sorting the Avon out, and so sorry to hear about your work friend. xx

Thanks mum2one. I should have a look for the free papers really - would be a good start. There's a fab car boot every sunday from spring to autumn about 10/15 minute drive away but you have to be there MEGA early!! lol It's huge and packed. Just wanted to check really whether there's some sort of unwritten ettiquete where you can't sell home made crafty stuff at car boots... lol

Christmas ideas for gifts this year ~ please feel free to use/edit
Heres a list of my ideas but always willing to read other peoples suggestions !!

I made some lovely fingerless mittens from a 'dodgy' fake suede & fur gillet I picked up at the local charity shop for £1 ~ 2 pairs made plus loads of spare pieces for cuffs/watch straps so I will be repeating these for next year but starting earlier in the year

Ive seen some lovely patchwork needle cases which Im going to make with all the old clothes I have hanging around which I bought to make cushions and bags out of!!!

What I am looking for is a cheap suply of mdf wooden hearts ready to be painted and decorted by me ~ Any odeas folks???

I made pints of socks as gifts last year and I think Im going to do a variation with mugs this year ~ sweeties in the mugs with a sock creature holding them

Handcovered notebooks (saw some lovely retro teatowels last year)~ Im waiting for Wilkos to 75% off some more of their better quality ones as I managed to get some lovely made ones for about 30p each for A4 size

Sock critters, Handmade cushions made from old childrens sweaters and mittens from the sleeves

Also made a lovely marrow and apple chutney this year so will be making more in December to put into little gift baskets too
And Im looking to make scented candles in pretty teacups ~ anyone have any links I can have a look at as I have never done this before??

As well as my usual selection of jewellery gifts Im thinking it will be a crafty cute Christmas
Wow just reread the list think Im going to be busy crafting

A lip gloss and lovely diamonte mirror set 1.99 a set of 4 body works nail polish 2.99 a high school musical over night wash set 1.99 and a lip gloss set 1,99

Be brilliant for the younger girls for birthdays and Christmas this year.

I had a chat with my mum tonight and said I am going to save up for 18 months and then go traveling :). Nervous and excited all at once lol. I just think while I am young and have no commitments I should do some thing like this. Applied for some work on weekends on 2-6 hours a weekend 9 a hour before tax insurance ect.

just hoping i can get saving and go through with this idea :) x
