Its going brilliantly the thread, love the idea of a sewing macine, but I think I'd be lethal. Never forget mum brought one - then decided it was to complicated, ended up selling it to her friend, she then got another one think it was Netto offer - still in box. So 2 yrs ago for a joke got her a kids one from Argos.. still waiting for her to use it!.

I have a sewing machine, not a well used one mind. Although if my DD had her way id be knocking up dressing up outfits left right and centre!! Have made curtains before and a couple of blinds. Never tried anything else though!
Nice List Mum2One!! Super organised!! I need to do that with mine.
Brought some cheap gift bags today in Sainsburys for 44p each. Perfect for teachers gifts for next Christmas. Put those on my list of things in the loft so i dont forget!! Also got another 4 much larger ones in M&S for £3. Should have been £12 for the 4 so happy with them too.
Done my January and Feb birthday shopping. Will work my totals out when i get a mo. Just need cards as didnt manage to get into town the other day. Kids back to school on wednesday so can feel a little 'ME' time coming on!!

Right you girls are very organized
I purposely had a semi relaxed evening last night , ending it with quietly having a bath , reading my book then listening to "chilled" music in bed.. fell asleep around 2am , woke up just before 4am full of beans , went to the loo and got a drink of water , laid back down in bed in the quiet dark room , did i fall back asleep , did i heck , i tossed and turned and grumbled to myself.. tried for a hour to get to sleep no luck so got up got half dressed (pants, jeans , socks and boots lol) came down for coffee and toast and then looked through Topcashback again and now I have had my first "earnings" I am loving it lol. I brought some thing for like £2.00 or some thing like that and got 12p back. Just been on play. now and ordered friends eldest son a comic book kit , supposed to be 9.00 was 4.00. then ordered my mum a book for mothers day.. simons cat , supposed to be 12.00 got it for 5.00 then ordered myself a book from my favourite author supposed to be 8.00 got "used" for 2.59 (have u had good experiences with buying "used" stuff from play? first time here.)
so. in Green is what i got , in red is what I need to get.
Jan
Colleague (and best mates) 21 birthday! Going to make a 21 things in a box hamper.
Nice imperial leather shower gel , minnie mouse "posh" pants , flip through clip photo frame. 18 things to get lol.
Fed males friend birthday
want to spend between 8-10 , possible thinking a novelty t shirt from primark for 4.00 and a nice toiletree set in the sales.
March
friends eldest sons birthday.
Comic making set. will get some "grown up" toiletries as he is going to be 13 but is a little younger then his years so to speak , a lovely boy.
Mothers day!
Simons cat book.
Posh toiletries set (will look in sale)
A necklace or bracelet (will shop about)
Nice Pjs
funky socks
new slippers
new game for her ds
possibly a gift voucher?
Friends youngest son birthday
egg and soldiers making set the egg cup and toast cutter(he loves egg and soldiers)
t-shirt
Will also get jeans and pjs and sweets.
May
dads birthday
Nothing yet.
will get jeans , t shirt , toiletries set , stella , gift voucher to a shop that sells nice shoes? if i give him money he will put it towards bills ect instead of treating himself.
Thats all im worried about for now.
My dad is the hardest man to buy for I have never seem him "excited" Or very impressed with a present , its not that he is not great full , just everything he wants he will eventually buy himself if you see what i mean. For Christmas he was more happy i got him things he needed like jeans, t shirt , new guitar picks (with spongebob on them lol)
So i will look for some thing "extra" special that will make him smile!
Anyway , after two hours broken sleep a early start , im going to have some cereal another coffee and get ready for work . Have a nine hour shift followed by quickly seeing Mollie fat club , then babysitting my Goddaughters till midnight -1am ... I can feel the yawns coming on all ready!
Take care all x

Wow well done everyone, so organised with birthdays and special occasions already. I have some already sorted but need to get my list properly sorted I think.
Well done on your sewing machine Nellis, I am trying to save up for one so I can get crafting properly but don't want to take the plunge until I know exactly what I am getting into lol.
I managed to get Christmas crackers, wrapping paper, cards and decorations in the sales. Off to town today to seek out some clearance Christmas bits and see the leftovers in Next if anything at all. And keep my on the stock in Boots, I have near enough £200 in gift cards and points to get presentsComping wishlist for 2017

hi everyone
Spent yesterday morning taking the xmas tree down and putting everything away, then went for a walk in the afternoon. You lot seem to be super organised already, I've sorted my notebook out just need to update last year’s spreadsheet and then I’ll be good to go. Have made a start and ordered some PJs and dressing gown from DPs for my cousin and did a vistaprint order as well got some really nice xmas cards free and I remembered to use tc and quidco for both purchases. Off out now lo wants to go for a 'shopping lunch' hope everyone has a good day.
Mary Op - sorry forgot you asked about good presents for 4 year olds, one of the best xmas presents was a set of craft drawers that I made up full of paper, paint, glitter glue, scissors, beads etc, he has had that out every day only problem is everything now has the glitter effect! Will let you know what seems to have been the best buy (don't think your grandson's bday is until the summer).

Nellis, well done on that price for the sewing machine, excellent! Every ten years or so, I used to think "I'd really like a sewing machine", buy one, and have it sit there for another ten years then sell it. So I've given up now. But I'm *loving* the craft ideas on here right now - some of those, I could definitely do when the unpacking is done from the house move. And when I have a table again!
I'm definitely going to get more into this - including a vistaprint order and listing the birthdays/Christmasses as advised. Today is all booked solid, but I definitely can make the time tomorrow.
Thank you all the experienced ones, for sharing skills and learning experiences.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi all!
Vistaprint have just sent me a very tempting page of new offers, I only did an order the other day but very tempted to do another now!!
Tree and all my decs are down, it looks very bare especially my chimney breast which I hang stockings from and have all my cards blue tacked onto :-(
Still needed to be done. All boxed up and clingfilmed over (our loft gets a bit damp) and I even remembered to write on each box what was in it to save the "well I dont know which bl**dy box you want" row with OH!!!
Just wrapped all Pips Birthday pressies and made 2 pass the parcels. Tip for anyone planning babies; make sure they arrive long, long after Christmas!!!

I need some help. My father-in-law has his birthday this week and I've not a clue what to get him. I made him a scarf for Christmas, he has photo mugs, computer mats, calendars etc with his granddaughter on but I'm really stumped what to do this year. He is undergoing chemo and radiotherapy for cancer at the moment so wanted to get him something to 'cheer' him up as neither myself or daughter are allowed to see him due to his radiotherapy (I'm pregnant and she's only four).
Any help and inspiration would be much appreciated. Sorry, if I've gone off task.'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'
Proud Mummy to two gorgeous miracles.:j0
