Morning everyone
Did a bit more sewing yesterday for a couple of hours, still doing Sister's quilt but was running out of fabrics so ordered some more last night. Got a couple of nice bits on Ebay then found a site where they had a sale on and got some more from there so waiting for them all to arrive to see what they are like.
Daughter was off school yesterday, had a sore throat again and a head ache but has managed to go in today. Taken her art project in at last, glad that is finished, lets hope she dont lose any more work.0 -
And Halfcost
Hawkin has a 75% sale at the moment too.
I'm , the gifts I sent my nephews in the US arrived yesterday after a month with DHL (posted speedy-post on the 6th December ) and my BIL is sending the younger kid's shirt right back because it is too small for him. Not a thank you to be seen, just "box arrived, wow that took a long time. I'm sending YB's shirt back, please exchange it for the largest youth size." The child is 7 years old and can eat an entire KFC bucket by himself. And does, routinely, along with the mountains of junk his mother gives him as snacks to go along with his video games. No wonder the poor little **** is fat
Well I wouldn't be rushing if I wass you! How rude!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I got my BHS order yesterday and not impressed! Hoping to nip to store to exchane because the boxes for the roulette table and the guiness set are alll battered and ripped! The wine set was for myself so not bothered about that! Hopefully can exchange! Popped into our Wilkos and still a fair bit of Christmas stuff there no decs though so waiting for the 10p sale although I do need to buy fairy lights as I have thrown ours and knowing my luck I will forget until we bring the tree down next Christmas!:xmassmile**New** Thrifty Gifty Money Making for Christmas and all occasions 2012**:xmassmileMember No. 11 of Happy Chappy's Clip Strip Club!

I made him a scarf for Christmas, he has photo mugs, computer mats, calendars etc with his granddaughter on but I'm really stumped what to do this year. He is undergoing chemo and radiotherapy for cancer at the moment so wanted to get him something to 'cheer' him up as neither myself or daughter are allowed to see him due to his radiotherapy (I'm pregnant and she's only four).
Any help and inspiration would be much appreciated. Sorry, if I've gone off task.
Sorry to hear your father in law is poorly - not got many ideas sorry.
Could you do him a basket of 'treats' - some puzzle books, little puzzles, things to do to pass the time?
Stressed xHoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

Hello all :j
Nothing been done today -well not by me anyway.
GP appt this morning about my back.........''is it here it hurts'' says he as I shoot through the ceiling:eek:...........case of keep taking the tablets, rest a bit, walk a bit etc. All the things I've been doing.........worse after being poked like that.........so, our lad and his mate have sorted the decorations out and put them away........that was a task in itself.........just supervising them and telling them what went where, how to pack it away etc. Got to the point in the end when I didn't really care what they did with it all..............lol:rotfl:
Just ordered a load of scrapbook papers in a sale to console myself...............well thats my excuse anyway..............lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
