Hi all
If you go into Superdrug, they have their own brand type of Slim Fast Powder in a tin and it was reduced from £4.50 to £2 for those with the sell by date of end January 2011.
I'm not overweight as such and I'm an excercise addict, but I've got ibs and it plays havoc with my stomach, so one day my clothes are very loose but by the end of the week, they are too tight to even get on! It can be very annoying because you can never plan what to wear.
So I want to get under my current weight (pre bloat) and see if that makes a difference with clothes. Because of this yoyo effect I've never gone below my normal weight for long so it might be a challenge to stay there.

Hello
just wanted to introduce myself as mum2one suggested I pop over! I started Reading all the posts but at the mo I'm viewing MSE on my mobile so gave in after about page 8, I will have a proper look tho once I'm on the computer.
Well I would love to join in the fun, my aim is to get super organised in 2011 - I am expecting my first baby in May so want to make sure I am on the ball. I bought all my nursery interior in the sales using money that I had received for Xmas. I have also done a little bit of shopping ready for nxt Xmas - I have joined the £365 in 365 days challenge and I also plan on putting £5 a week away into a Christmas fund.
I have bought a new a4 diary (inspired by getting organised in 2011 thread) which is for finances only and I will put all payment due dates in, plus notes of upcoming birthdays events and also reminders for when car tax and MOT etc is due!
My first birthday of the year is my mums and is in Jan however I have already sorted her present out. My next birthdays are my 2 nieces in March they will be aged 6 and 7 so I will keep an eye out for something to get them or if anyone can point me to a bargain that would be brill ;-)
Anyway sorry to have gone on - hopefully i haven't made too many mistakes it's quite difficult to type on my phone lol

I visited the sales today - and bought some plastic tubs (like chinese take-away ones) as I am refusing to throw leftovers away next year!!! How long is it ok to keep left over meat, mash and vegetables in the fridge??? We don't always want them the day after.
Just thinking - if you have enuf, meat, veg, mash, what about making a large portion and freezing ready for an emergency meal.
Mash and veg - perfect bubble and squeak.
Would say if you could freeze them be better, |I would say 2days in the fridge>
Anyway - I bought DD1 a mirror that I promised her months ago, the plastic tubs, some shampoo because I only have a dribble left in mine - kids!!! Oh and an Xbox and kinect.
Yes I hang my head in shame - we didn't Need it but I have Wanted it and coverted it for months. So tomorrow is going to be a NSD - if at all possible, as I am looking after my friend's children while she goes to work (they heard about the kinect and where I normally would only have her DD I have her DS too lol - they are nice kids so I will have a full but cheerful house tomorrow)
I shall endeavour to use the christmas present my husband bought me - the marble rolling pin. Now what can I put in a pie? MMMMM might not get away with a NSD afterall!
Anyway got a bit sidetracked there - I meant to say right at the top - that I think the sales in the high street are abysmal this year. Boots was messy and the FCUK bags, Strictly sets and such like were just piled on the shelves and looked horrible. WHSmith was too hot and again only tat in the sale. I got fed up tbh and that is something for me to sale while out shopping!
On line is much better - you just can't handle the mechandise can you.
I'm glad its not just me who thought the sales weren't brilliant, I only nipped into a couple of places, - but Evans - I would say a gd 3/4 was what was there on sale b4 xmas, M+S wasn't too bad, got a couple of bits more successful shop, popped into Claires - just messy everywhere, and yes while there 75% off looked like a junk shop.
Def found on-line better, done a little M+s, dress from Evans, small BHS.
Desepartly waiting for Boots 75% so can get some prezzies in.xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Hi Muffin, glad you found us ok, as you've gathered we natter for England, but theres a great bunch of ladies on here, and this (and the sister thread) are the 2 nicest threads on here.
The 1st few posts have the links etc, and eplain away- don't worry if you want to jump a couple pages.
The Santa's Challenge goes on 24th of each month, - treat it as a pick and mix - if my daughter (Miss Hoodie) helps - she has this thing about finding places to clean...... but we all a laugh, a joke, a sob, support each other, and its just like friends that we haven't met yet.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/ArgosClearance?!!!!!ar:home:fz:003:
That link gets you to the Argos clearance section, on the left of the page you choose the store that you want.
Basically with the sale they might have 2000 items, but they could be anywhere in the country, the clearance is store specific - on average I've found 90% of the items are in stock.
I've just got this today from our local store, its my best friends 40th in March, going to do a 40 box of daft things, and wanted something personal, but the price of most gold lockets were £50+ to get a descent size - this is beautiful, def looks a lot more than £21.99 - just came across it by killing 5 mins xx
9ct Gold Friendship Locket.
233/0730
£21.99- 9ct gold Prince of Wales chain.
- Length of chain 46cm/18in.
- Message reads 'A best friend is like a 4 leaf clover - hard to find and lucky to have'

Hi,
I am SO sleepy I can't finish reading everyone's posts, v sorry. I joined last year but couldn't keep up. Really my big aim for 2011 is to be organised and not forget people's birthdays and you know send cards/presents on time. this year I gave one of my closest friends her birthday present with her Xmas present - her b'day was in July.
I really like sewing and would like to make my Mum a quilt- I have no creative skills at all but would like to make more gifts and find bargains.
I am rambling now, just want to say Hello to Mum 2one <--- very lovely to me on the Diary boards
so tired. night allNevertheless she persisted.0
