We should set up a thrifty gifty diet thread - no paying out all the weekly fees then. :j

That's a great idea, I'd definitely be up for that! We could have weekly weigh ins and tell each other off if we have put on weight. I need to be told off, it might motivate me more :rotfl:

Oh my golly gosh, did I have a shock today - I ordered what I thought was a very nice coat off the great www, and it arrived today. It wasn't quite as expected, but when I found the belt I thought - aha, will be ideal, not as lonng as hoped, but I'm sure it will be fine.

Until I tried it on. Or tried to try it on. I couldn't even get my arms in it. I had ummed and ahh'd (as I tend to do) between the 16 and the 18 and decided to go for the 18. AND I COULDN'T EVEN GET MY ARMS IN IT.

I nearly cried - I know some designs are a little on the skimpy side, but a size 18 winter coat should go over a t-shirt!!!!

And then I looked at the label - Size 10. SIZE 10????????????? Surely I'm not daft enough to order a size 10. So I checked the packaging - the plastic bag it was wrapped in said size 18 as did the despatch note.

So whilst I do need to diet, maybe not quite as much as the coat made me think.
  • I have done so much spending in the sales the last two days. I have finalised it by treating myself to something I have wanted for awhile. A photo frame clock - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000LRJ9HC/ref=oss_product

I tried my new dab radio today and it dont work so thats got to go back tomorrow. OH just looked online and they are out of stock (Currys) so cant even get another to replace it. Said they have one in Argos but its more expensive in there so dont know what we are going to do.

Packaging out for sending off OH's sat nav but I couldnt undo the holder thing that sticks to the window as didnt know how to do it so cant fit it in the box yet. Oh will look in the morning.

Off to watch a bit of tele then early night once daughter comes in as we had a late one last night.

    Esmer - you multi-tasking again???

Rufus - I hope you didn't eat all that chocolate gateaux and saved me some. ;) Legend was playing bingo with fudge cake and icecream earlier, she was making me drool.

Susan - we WOULD crash the board.

Hi Stiltwalker - You are very, very welcome to join in.

Georgie - you had me rolling on the floor laughing then. I'd have been wetting myself panicking. LOL

Sorry, that made me laugh! I would have been so relieved to finally see it was a size 10 though :D
