Susan - we bought daughter a net book last year and she has to plug hers in all the time really as the battery only lasts about half hour at the most.

Welcome stiltwalker :j-thinking about your username - is that your hobby?

    Hi muffin :j

Mum2one, your post to Diddly about freezing leftovers reminded me of something I read where some people have a box in their freezer and whatever savoury is leftover, even a spoonful, is put into the box. Then when it's full they defrost it and cook it with grated cheese.

That's a great idea, I'd definitely be up for that! We could have weekly weigh ins and tell each other off if we have put on weight. I need to be told off, it might motivate me more :rotfl:

I would be up for that I need to loose some weight but dont have time to join one of those classes :(

I had to go back to the drs on wednesday as still no better only to find out this chest infection has kicked my asthma of big time so am now on steroids for the next week so far they are helping a bit managed to get to wander round my local asda yesterday and got cards and kids wrapping paper for next year, but did feel bad again last night still at least I have saved some money.

I need to go into town and get some sealed tins for savings as am going to put a £1 a week into one to try and buy my nan and grandad a dvd player for next christmas, and I need the other one for the other thread (money making) if i read right so am hoping that i can get in when ds is at nursery on tuesday :D

My boots order arrived so I have DS's birthday presents and 2 soap and glory sets which depending how much DD has used by her birthday she can have it then or for xmas.

Hope everyone has a great new year and good luck to lots of money making for 2011 to help us all pay for our gifts:D

    Hello all :j
Crikey, you lot were up early......................lol
Mind you, I might have been had my back not hurt so much -takes an age to get out of bed.
OH went to see nurse........she's baffled by the results of his ultra sound that says he doesn't have deep vein thrombosis..............so we'll see what GP says on Jan 5th.
Buttons I ordered arrived :T Took me ages to sort them out in a sectioned box into some sort of colour order............but I've done them (well one bag anyway)...........lol Now have to think what else to make apart from button necklaces:)

Hope you all have a good day and enjoy whatever you do tonight. We're having quiet night in (no choice really what with my back and OH's problems) but we'll try and enjoy it anyway:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Happy New Year everyone!

M&S and Topshop have cancelled my sale orders :( Luckily none of the stuff was presents otherwise I'd be very cross  But Next are astonishing me with getting all my stuff out, even the stuff that said "2-4 weeks" :j and at the same time, the two cancelled orders are £50 I've not spent.

Hi all, sorry to keep posting but just wanted to share that I bought my god daughter and my friends Daughter Xmas presents today - didn't intend to but saw them on offer! Also bought some half price Xmas cards from wilkos which you put your own pic in so thought we could put a photo of the baby in and give them to our parents, siblings etc, and we should have enough left over from this year for everyone else.

Also remembered I have two immaculate childrens book that I bought from a car boot a couple of months ago which I'm putting aside for the above two girls birthdays! Xxx

    Boo! Found you Elysia!:rotfl::rotfl:

Ive had one next delivery which luckily contained the top for Pip that says "I am 2" as it is his Birthday onn the 9th and he will be.....yes thats right 2!

I have got all my Birthday presents and Mothers day presents done for 2011 and they are WRAPPED (in nonchristmassy half price chrimbo paper) under the bed!!:j:j I have even written the cards out for the first part of the year too.

2010 was such an awful year for me, I felt completely out of control and as if I was being dragged along kicking and screaming for most of it and it only got worse once my Grandad was poorly and passed away :(. So my *goal* for the year is to remain more in control.

Have a lovely New Year everyone x x

Following on from a lovely idea, on of the ladies made, as there are a few of us who feel we need to do something about the weight, I know theres a lot of weight loss threads out there, but I figured we have 2 fab threads, a great bunch of ladies (and 1 gentleman at the last count), we laugh, we cry, we support each other - so why not have the weight thread
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
