  • Great day for deliveries today in my house! Sainsburys one - wrap and tags mainly, plus two large light up reindeers which i had to order for work. Cardboard boxes everywhere!! Also a B&Q delivery of christmas lights also for work as so heavily reduced. Thank god i was on shift tonight as i couldnt have lived with all that stuff im my kitchen for long.

Had a little look in the Boots sale. Not much going on there but did pick up my S&G tote bag for my friends birthday which was on OOTW before christmas for her birthday in January. Another tick on the list!

Cards list written for the card shop when i pop into town tomorrow.

Very pleased with my organisation so far, filled my diary in with all my bits to do, January mostly ticked off apart from a couple of special cards for family, Just my DD cake and party bits to sort.

Sort out tomorrow for some money making on ebay!! Wont be too hard to find stuff!!

Morning all! Little Man Ronnie woke up for his bottle at 3:00ish went straight back to sleep and was up for the day at 6:24am sharp. After having a week of not having to get out of bed for work or anything its a shock to the system lol. I'm about to have a coffee then get Ronnie ready then my dad should be awake to watch him whilst i get showered and dressed!

Off to babysit for a parent from work so Ronnie will have a little play date too lol.

Jan is going to work out a expensive month for me , my funds are already low so any extra little work and money all helps ,me :) x

Morning JJ, well done on looking after Ronnie all night, I woke up early as well, think I will suffer for it tonight. Dont think we will stay out till after midnight, will probs be at home. OH recorded a film off Box Office last night so he might want to watch that although not really my cup of tea.

We are going out shopping today so will be looking out for more bargains. Rufus xx

Well done JJ on looking after the wee Ronnie. It is hard work, but you do get into a routine that works, and you do more than I can with working with 45 children, I hope today goes well for you.

We are having a lazy morning, then taking dad to look at a car. mum and dad are taking DD overnight for me, Im going out with friends for a meal, It wont be a late one, I want to take the opportunity to have a good sleep seen as my whole time off has not been that great :(

As for the sales, I thought they were not that good, I did better online.

Off for some Coffee and toast.

  • Good morning everyone :)

Well done JJ, looking after a little one over night isn't easy. I think I was constantly exhausted for the first year after my son was born - he never seemed to sleep! He's 3 now and much better at sleeping. This morning he woke me at 8:30 by putting his favourite cuddly toy in bed with me :D

Does anyone have any plans for tonight? For the first time I will be celebrating the New Year with just my DH as we've decided to have a quiet one at home. He's working until 10:30 anway but at least we'll be together for a kiss at midnight ;)!

I have no plans for new year DS is working (bar manager) he got promoted this week, I think it`ll be shock to system ....he goes to college full time and hoping to get to uni in september. Not enough hours in the day

I`ve got rid of the last of my guests....dont mean it nasty lol but catering for 35 people was hard work. So I`m having a quiet night in with OH.

RRufus - dont you just hate it when things dont work, bought DS a netbook for xmas. Why he needed one was beyond me, between his iphone, ipad, laptop, desktop, xbox, wii...i know it sounds a long list but hes studyining to be a games designer and keeping up with technology. Anyhow i digress.....the netbook wouldnt work unless its permanently conected to electric socket. Phoned them up and they said keep it plugged in....arrrrrgggg whats the point of having a portable unit then. Spoke to manager they`re sending new battery.

    muffin - hi

mum2one - i struggle at sales as well, but find more on line, thats a beautiful chain.

mary - hope you ok and OH

Elysia - what you doing here, i dont know how you have the time with the other board money mnaking going so quick ....lol, i have a job to keep us

hope everyone has a good day and night tonite and happy new year to us all...us organised, money making individuals

  • Hiya, I've sat down this morning and made a list of all the birthdays / weddings etc I have coming up this year. Good job I did as when I said yesterday I had 2 bdays in March thy was completely wrong lol i have 2 bdays in Jan and 4 bdays in March plus the rest!! Lol

Anyway I have just reserved a Mamas and Papas activity table for my niece - should be £25.00 but got it for £12.47 - so a bargain!

I've also got a birthday book that has a page a month for you to write peoples birthday down and they have a slot to put cards in so will have a look next time i'm in town to see if I can pick any cards up and fill it up to avoid last minute dashes to the shops throughout the year xxxx

Thats a good idea with the cards Muffin. I have one of those as well and just take it out every month to see whats what. I usually write all the cards and put addresses and stamps on as well so I just have to post them off. Slipped up this year though as one of my nieces moved and I had her old address on the envelope. Ended up sticking labels over it lol.

We were going out for the day but OH decided when he got up that he didnt want to lose his parking space so we are supposed to just be going up the town for a walk instead. Said shall we get some of the decorations down in the back room so made a start on those, was going to leave the front room up till tomorrow but once he started he didnt want to stop so has got the lot away. Now has to spring clean the room and re-arrange the furniture so heavens knows what time we will go up the town. I'll be absolutely p00ped by then lol.

Happy New Year everyone, Rufus xx
