    Me again!

Ok ladies, I've read LOADS of ideas already for what I'm about to ask you, but I need some help straightening my thoughts.

I've been asked to have a stall at my friend's charity Pink Pamper Party in October. I'll have Avon stuff, but hopefully also some Christmas bits too to sell (with percentage of profits going to the charity!). As its October, and I'm a bit worried about food, what could I make? I'm already thinking of bracelets (which I do anyway!) and Reindeer Food.

Was considering Snowman Soup (individual wrapped candy canes and hot choc in a sachet) but what do I do about marshmallows and how do I present them? They always look nice in those cones, but that's normally with the chocolate powder rather than a sachet.....

So what else could I do that costs very little to make, and could sell relatively cheaply too?

Edited to say: Maybe I'm worrying too much about the foodie items?? Maybe I could do some snowman poop/reindeer poop etc? I haven't got one of those bag heat sealers though.....

    Thanks all

mrs-moneypenny - Reindeer food definitely on my list! Thanks! Traffic jam... :rotfl:

rufus - I've bookmarked that thread too!! lol LOTS to read on there now. Blimey. And your story of the reindeer poop made me laugh!!

mum2one - thanks for the flavoured coffee idea - I'm just a bit worried about doing anything edible/drinkable..... maybe unnecessarily... Fingers crossed for you with solicitors!!

mary - lovely idea's thank you. COuld possibly do some fabric christmas decorations with left over felt after I've made my daughter's advent calendar....

susan - thanks for that, I'll take a look! Like I said above, still not sure about the food/drink element...

Angela - I didn't see that article. Sounds horrendous. Was it because there were traces of nut or something??

    Ddraig - *wave*

elysia - thanks for the info regarding the marmalade! Had to make some for OH two weeks ago - didn't realise it could come in other flavours! Is it as bitter as marmalade or more like jam?? (thinking of the strawberry - I'm guessing the lemon is like lemon marmalade!)

Ok, this is what I'm hoping to make for the charity 'pink party' so far:
    Bracelets
Handbag Charms / Key Rings (using odd beads!)
    Reindeer Food
Bags of humbugs (they're wrapped so not worries about them! lol)
Might also do some tealight painted jars and somethign with candy canes. I think that might be enough though for now!!

We had an upset today, OH's Dad is in hospital, he's had 7 heart attacks over the day. They have operated on a blocked artery this afternoon and so far he seems to be pulling through but its a nervous 48 hours to see how he goes. OH has been up there all day today with him and I am going with him tomorrow.

Oh no, hope he's ok. Thinking of you.

Big hello to anyone new!! :j

mary - I can't get over the trouble you have with your hospital!

    Hello all :j

clare - big hugs........you do seem to be going through it one way or another...........know the feeling :) Least I'm not the only one who loses lists and forgets what day it is let alone anything else.
Least bathrooms getting painted now one the walls where its not tiled. Course now I've changed the colour scheme I create another problem. I've got a door leading to spare room off bathroom and when we foster teenagers one of the smashed the door ! Well, couldn't get another to fit doorway so we patched up the hole and I found an art nouveau poster in second hand shop, stuck it on and it covered the bumpy repair. Poster has too much green in it now and doesn't look at all right. Don't think it'll paint over least not without some sort of door hanger covering it........know the sort, decorative and long hanging on a pole. Have googled and can't see anything. Where can I get something like that from or any ideas for anything else ???

Had a fairly lazy day sat outside..........now need to make a card for foster daughter/baby............can't find anything suitable so have to google baby images.

    Hope you're all ok:)

Thanks for that:) I realised the person (OH's mum) I was going to give this to would probably never use it...I found last year's christmas presents all stuffed in a bag in her bedroom when OH and I were helping her declutter before she moved into a new flat. Also gave her my smoothie maker which she hasn't used yet. Oh well.

    Morning all

Claire sorry to hear about your poor cat, I do hope he is feeling a bit better xx

Mary glad the bathroom is getting sorted at last xx

FIL is hopefully going home today so may be we can get back to a bit of normality.

I finished the cardigan, I need to get a photo done for my blog. I have also made myself two tops this week, one cost me £2.50 for fabric and other cost me £2 for fabric. I have enough left over on the last one to make a bag for one of the nieces for next year so worked out really cheap. Again I need to find time to take some photos for my blog.

I had an email with a code (COSBG250) from Artscow this morning, the offer is two make up bags for $6. I did the medium bags and after I paid by Paypal they worked out at somewhere between £3 and £4 for the two including postage. I made one for ED with a photo of the kids on it and one for YD with a photo of her and her BF on it.

    Hello all :j

    Hot hot and hot !!!
Spent half of the day outside getting too hot to be comfortable and the other half making a 'baby' card for foster daughter. I'm so short of paper and 'bits' for stuff like that it seemed to take an age. Still, its done now.

rufus - bathroom will be lovely......when the shower works  After all that work done and now we wait for the makers to contact us, make an appt to come out and see if they can sort it out. Just my luck they'd have to take it out and replace it:mad: Still, done without it this long (since Feb.) so whats a few more days/weeks/months ????

    Hope you're all ok:)

Lol Willow, were you logged in? I dont know if the follow button works if your'e not logged in. The black bags I made were from a pair of my FIL's trousers lol. He hadn't worn them, he bought them and then didn't like them. I was going to put them on my shop but ended up using one of them for myself.

I have cut out loads of others the same pattern to make for the shop and for presents for the nieces for next year, just need a marathon sewing session to get on with them.
