I don't post very often but follow this thread and love the monthly challenges.
Went in to Tesco today and they are selling off all of the summer stuff.
Big paddling pools that were previously being sold for £20 are now being sold at £2
Baby paddling pools with UPF 50+ sun shade on are reduced to £2
Kids play parachutes are reduced to £1
I have put together some summer kits for kids with buckets and spaces from half cost and the paddling pools as a little something extra for DS's friends for Christmas. Unusal for Christmas presents but they will come in handy on the off chance we have a bit of sun next year.
DS's friends parents are the same as me, "will buy them when we get the sun." When the sun comes out they have all disappeared from the shops.:rotfl:The toast proposed at our wedding was for "health, wealth and happiness". Our family may not have the health and wealth but we make up for it with the happiness:D

Hello all :j
elysia - nice to see you.......wondered where youd got to:)
angela..........piccadilly circus !! This morning we had two chaps from the council (electrician/plumber) then half hour later builder who's going to do the kitchen with his mate, plumber & plumbers mate and electrician !! OH had a bad night so wasnt really fit to cope with all this but there was noise upstairs with the bathroom chaps and noise downstairs -that was just with the builders talking and laughing .........loudly
Looks like we need a new box of some sort for the electrics to be done for stuff in the kitchen (checked with council elec. chap and he agreed but it wasn't on his list of 'stuff to do' so he'd managed to by-pass the box to do the shower and fan for the bathroom ) Least I know builders elec. chaps not trying to pull a fast one. All adds to the cost but, well, if its needed then we've got to have it. Delays the kitchen by a few days.......maybe a week.........still, least things are being talked about even if they havent started yet...............lol
OH at hospital again tomorrow to see 'stomach boffin'.............better get some results from him ! OH been in such pain...............he's been suffering since the end of march and enoughs enough I think so somethings got to be sorted out. I'm going with him so hopefully between us we can bombard the boffin into action of some kind.
Needless to say, apart from finishing off one wrist warmer for gardener chap nothing else has got done...........lol
Just heard foster daughters had a daughter.........Lily !!!:T Bless her...........I'm so thrilled.
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Congratulations Mary, on your foster daughters, daughter, the name Lily is lovely. xx
Not to bad here, took Miss Hoodie to Matalan to get a pr of Boots she'd seen in a magazine, quite plzed as they were £16. Thou the downside is there suede!! no good for the wet weather, But we found pvc / leather look boots for £11, hadn't got her size, so got next size up, thought grow in them by winter, then a new winter coat £17, really plzed with the prices, got to the till and the £11 boots were scanning at £3. So sent Miss Hoodie back to get the other pr in same size, one for best, one for school, and used my new student Id, saved 10%...
Solicitors today, thats so so, were trying to dispute what cafcass have said, and have came up with an alternative proposal, so thats being emailed checked and sent off to his lordships solicitors, (got one where he now lives), and they've succounded a local firm, whether he accepts it no idea, but worth a try.
Miss Hoodie has asked to see her other grandparents as there across, but shes quite insistent that she'll give them a few home trues for what they have done... not a situation I would normally agree with, but if she tells them how she feels and what shes going through, might knock some sense in. Borderline as to whether we continue to stay in touch with them, on one hand Miss Hoodie only met them once, but that was his lordship didn't give them any info on her for over 5 yrs, but everything they shouldn't be doing, there doing. Just get 2mor night over with be ok. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Just while think of it - had emails earlier
Superdrug - gifts 3 4 2 and free postage
Body Shop - body butter half price, use love your shop card 10% extra discount, and if you go through top cash back think its 24%.
But am being very good and not looking!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
