    Hello all :j

Not done a lot today but did manage to almost finish the other wrist warmer in between making cups of tea and coffee for 3 chaps doing the bathroom and the two outside doing the garage.
They finished about 4pm and won't be back till next week............garage looks nice..........not like a garage at all...........more like a large shed........be nice when its all painted............thats the next job when it stops raining !
3 bathroom chaps will be here till middle of next week.............can't use the bathroom so its a 'cat lick in kitchen sink' first thing in the morning before builder gets here at 8am !
OH got hospital appt tomorrow to see back specialist -not that he can do anything till stomach problem is sorted but may as well go anyway. I'm going with him............bathroom builders can sort their own teas and coffees out..............lol and at least I'll have some time away from the banging and drilling and sawing and grinding..............it seemed endless......................still, as you say.......be nice when its all done.:T

    Hope you're all ok:)

Hope OH gets on OK at the hospital Mary xx

I won a giveaway on a blog I follow, it was for some fabric fat quarters and some other lovely bits to go with it. I am really pleased as I haven't won any sewing stuff before. I had a parcel of lovely fabrics come this morning too from a sale I saw on the web. I am going to spend tomorrow cutting out some bits and pieces ready for when my sewing machine comes back.

The other photo book came this morning for YD from Artscow and I am really pleased with it.

OH asked at work if they would buy him a new suit to wear on his trip, a bit cheeky but thought he would try it, and they have told him to buy one up to £200 and they will foot the bill. So we are off out on a shopping trip on Friday. I hope I can find some spending money by then as the shopping centre has a big John Lewis in it and I would like to have a look at their fabrics and everything while there (if they still sell them that is).

I am off to play catch up as been awol for week or so. I hope everyone is ok and well.

I have brought a few more bits and pieces but need to go through my Christmas folder and check what else i need. I also need to start wrapping some of my hampers too.

    Hello all :j

OH's hospital appt was waste of time..........got up early, had two hour wait for transport, then hour wait at hospital before we got seen by consultants ''odd job boffin''.........for five minutes ! OH was worried about arthritis and whether his back would ever get better...........'odd job' shrugged his shoulders and said to make another appt and get xray at the same time. What a waste of a morning.

Only one builder today doing the bathroom.......have to have white tiles as its council job but builder took me to the local tile shop to get some mosaic tiles to break it up a bit. Got some lovely stone ones that'll do the job nicely. So many tiles...........I could have been there till now............lol
Can't wait now till kitchen gets done and gets to the tiling stage............that'll be a while yet though.
Garden not quite as much a 'builders yard' as yesterday now one chap has collected the old garage doors and his wheelbarrow -bathroom is total chaos at the minute............still the messier it looks the better it will look when its done -wont it ?
Till its done and I can get in the spare bedroom that leads off it I'm stuck on christmas ! Anything I've got or done is in there !

Cleaner coming tomorrow but not much she can do so I'll get her to take me to garden centre for some winter heathers and maybe get a couple of shoe boxes and some paper from the craft shop so I can do some christmas boxes for son and girlfriend.....she has a birthday then as well !

My little den needs serious de-clutter...........lost count how many times I've done it but it seems to breed.............lol it's not me......honest..........lol

    Hope you're all ok :)

    Xmas Saver!
Hope everyone ok, finally unloaded the car, wasn't half as bad as his lordship made out!!
Miss Hoodie went flying down the road, dad had trouble keeping up with her, he saw at dinnertime while he was out with Bailey, she gave him a thumbs up!

Got organised and got her bday prezzies today, (3 4 2 at argos), Simpsons Cluedo, Chocolate shape maker, and then for free hello Kitty backpack and stationary set.
Then hit the reduced section Argos,
big make up set £5, instead of £20
silver creole earrings £5 instead fo £10
gold creole earrings £8 instead of £30
    Hello Kitty washbag £8
hello Kitty make up bag £5

I spent £66 and looks heck of a lot, really really pleased, with everything got.

She's seen a pair of boots she wants in Matalan, £15, and then I get her a £20 claires voucher, so she can get what she wants and thats £100, feel guilty as other years she had £200+ spent on her, but shes got what she wants, and then she needs winter clothes, so in a way, with getting everything she needs, she's not gone without.

Bailey got her a pick and mix stationary items from Wilkos, and she wants Btuno Mars cd, so Bailey can pay for that!!

Then hit Wilkos - they've started putting their xmas items out, looks some good things, worth looking at stationary and gardening sale, 75% off,
got some stationary - go into Miss Hoodies party bags
    posh retractable pencils
set of 3 mini highlighters in egg shape
set of 3 mini note pads - all reduced to 15p each

Boots are starting to put their winter stock out, theres a lot online, big Soap and Glory set £60, hoping it be offer of the week, usually the last one. The cat comes out start Oct. Seen dates varying from 4th to 10th Oct.

Yes its def a rubber gloves challenge - so funny changing her bed and there was a piece of paper - Santa wrote on it, theres me thinking, good shes getting her santa list ready, hate last minute... no she had started her challenges (sorry ladies!!) xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Lol at miss hoodie

you have lots of presents there mum2one - and although you say she had £200+ spent on her , the rrp must be in excess of that with the bargains you had..

how does bailey pay for the CD? Floyd gets 50p a week pocket money. Started when he was a pup and kids used to want all the toys for him and i said he`d have to save.

I thought it would stop when the last kid left home or when they`re bigger, they`re 19 and left and we`re still doing it. I heard sam DS telling floyd he could have all sams change for the money box and then he can get mum a special xmas present...:rotfl::rotfl:

    Hello all :j

Susan - love the wine charms and cards:T
Gardening chap came up today and moved a lot of tree debris from the pond area so he could tidy it up a bit. Wish the tree cutting chap would come and collect the remains like he said he would:mad: Still got loads down the driveway and across the garden:mad: and I'd got gardener chappie to come up thinking all the 'tree' would be gone by today as promised and he could get crocus and stuff planted. Still he did a mornings work and at least the pond part is tidier.
Bathroom is still ''work in progress'' but only one chap here now so not so noisy.
Cleaner came today -not much point in doing much cleaning with builders in and out till next week so she took me to garden centre for winter heathers then scrubbed kitched table and bit of hoovering.
She's away next Wednesday for a week  Thats about the time the builders will be done in the bathroom and upstairs will need a good sort out............maybe neighbours daughter will give me a hand.
Had a look in second hand shop in town -two floors of it ! Wore me out but there were some lovely things ............there's a 'rustic' section with a lot of painted signs and fabric doorstops and stuff.............could have spent and spent but didn't:A (now wearing halo)..........lol

    Hope youre all ok:)

    Evening all

I have finished knitting the last sleeve of the cardigan so hopefully I can start piecing it together tonight and get on with the rib. It will be a big job as it goes right round the neck and down the two fronts and its one of those long cardigans that come over your b*m.

I cut out some bags this morning, I want to make four shoulder bags for the nieces for Christmas for next year and then make some more out of the left over fabric to hopefully sell. My sewing machine came back this morning too but I haven't had a go on it yet, I was getting a bit tired after all the cutting out so left it until I have a bit more energy and can concentrate better.
