Hello all :j
Still in the dark over OH's pockets ! Nurse couldn't tell me anything last night and suggested I go in today and I could see doctor. Doctor told OH they'd be someone to see me as well. So, cleaner took me, got there, waited an hour or more, no doctor in sight and nurse wouldn't tell me what notes said about pockets because doctor doesn't like it done that way !! :mad:Total farce -honest, you couldn't make it up could you................on top of that OH's stitches have blistered and he's lost another half kilo in weight !
No cleaning got done and it cost me cleaners wages and petrol............refund on that ? No chance ! Oh I was man and I let them know it..............lost the plot a bit I think...........wore myself out ! -especially when one nurse suggested I go at 8 in the morning -more chance of seeing someone then ! I live just over 20 miles away ! What was she thinking. Anyway, its been left that they're asking doctor to phone me in the morning so we'll see if he does or not.
Apart from that been a nice sunny day:)
(sorry for rant)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi all
Mary, you must be livid, can't your son try on your behalf? A woman I know told me that every time she takes the car to the garage for a service, they make out they don't know anything about the car or her as a customer even though she's been going for over 6 years. It's a car she uses jointly with her OH, and as soon as she mentions her husband's name, they immediately find the paperwork.
That's why I'm wondering whether a man could deal with it better, even though logically it shouldn't be that way.
I've had a strange week, not sure if it was down to the conflict on the news or because of DS who is in a bad way again. I don't feel like doing anything.
This morning I woke up after having lots of peculiar dreams, however I had a really nice one at the end where I had bought an unusual greeting card and with it came a massive pack of papers, embellishments and ribbons for Christmas. Seems I can't get this thread out of my mind, even in my sleep0 -
Angela - both my sons live a distance away and to be honest I don't think either of them would be good at getting things like this sorted. If anyone can it would be my brother. He's back from Spain for a month and he's livid about it. He's got to sort his MIL out as she's moving into a care home but if he gets the chance he'll come up and 'have a go'.........or maybe OH's brother would.........trouble is he lives miles away as well and you get nowhere on the phone with these people.
They're used to me by now so I'll just keep at it till I get a resultI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

How's Mr Mary doing now?
Having a bit of awith one of my ebay buyers, she says the dress I sent has been worn loads and is all snagged. I know I wore it once, had it cleaned and put it in the wardrobe still in the cleaners bag, so I am worried she has worn it (ballgown), snagged the silk a few times and wants her money back. I offered a refund but I am still

sugarspun - something similar happened to me , so i told the person to send it back at their expense. When I realised it was a different item to which i sent them and it was broke , i escaled the clain to ebay. I told them what went on and as I had photographed the item it proved that the goods was ok before I sent them. Paypal paid me my money and refunded them. Due to it guarentees in paypal rules. So we were both happy.
mary - hows mr mary?
Its quiet on here isnt it.
Went into home bargains yesterday and they were selling little plastic trugs/baskets for 79p so I picked up a few to make toiletry hampers for christmas. Have you still got photos of it Sugarspun? Can you see any snags in the material from that? It is so annoying when people come out with things like that, it puts me off of selling clothes really. We once had a really funny thing happen to us though selling clothes. My OH's dad gave him a couple of suits that he didnt wear any more. He said he had had them cleaned and they didnt fit OH so I put them on Ebay. They both sold and not a bad price so I was well pleased. I posted them off to the respective buyers, then a couple of days later we had gone out to the pub for the evening (I was still drinking alcohol then so was a little bit tipsy when we got home). I put the computer on to check my email and found I had an email from one lady who bought one of the suits saying she had found some false teeth in one of the pockets of the suit and was disgusted about it. Me and other half were laughing over it saying how she must have not wanted the suit and was using it as an excuse to send it back. OH said his dad didnt have false teeth anyway so I emailed her back and said about how I cant see how the teeth would get in the pocket as no one in the family have false teeth. We argued a bit for a few emails over it and I said I wasnt going to offer a refund as I didnt believe her and in the end she stopped emailing me and we forgot all about it. Then about a month later OH was talking to his dad and he told him he had had to make an appointment for the dentist, when he asked what he was having done he said he had lost his false teeth lol and needed to get some new ones. OH said he didnt know he had them and his dad said he hadnt told any one about them before. We never told him we had sold them in his old suit.0

Sorry I've not replied to anyone.
PIPS MUM - I've been doing some detective work - I knew exactly what photo mug you meant. They had them at Boots, Tesco's and Wilkinsons at Christmas but nowhere online stocks them now.
I remembered I had some christmas baubles from the same company unused in the loft, so I got OH to go find them - It's shots2go. They have a website here: http://www.shot2go.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=25&vmcchk=1&Itemid=25 It's £6.00. Alternatively they have some metal ones you can have a photo or text on, on ebay for around £12.00. Search personalised photo mug.
I'm sorry if this doesn't help - it's been bugging me because I knew someone sold them.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Mary - I hope things are Ok. It's strange for you not to post everyday. I have my fingers crossed things are going well.
Sugarspun - can you get her to supply some photographs of the snags - maybe you could then compare them to your photo?
Rufus - Oh no! How did he go a month without them in the first place? I did sell an ipod, as a 5th generation, and it was a 4th. Got me into a whole load of trouble with the buyer - I wondered why it sold within 20mins at my buy it now price. I also sent the wrong parcels to two people, I had to get them to send them back, and post back to the correct people - oddly enough, I still have 100% feedback.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. Take care xI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hello all :j
Consultant phoned me yesterday morning -nearly fell off my chair with shock.........!!!
No pockets of fivers I'm afraid...........they're pockets of fluid, been there since scan was done after last op and nothing was done about them then -seems this time round all they're doing is giving antibiotics.......stronger ones if these don't work and stronger pain relief, then there was talk about pain management (so obviously expecting OH to continue in some sort of pain) and these pockets, if they do disappear this time, could well come back again ! Not a happy thought at all and left OH feeling really depressed about it. I queried why inflammed gallbladder was removed using keyhole -read several articles that don't recomment this due to damage that's caused -but boffin poo pooed that along with anything else I asked him.
So, now in the process of doing my complaint, typing it all out neatly so its readable, and may contact health secretary as well. The thought of OH going back and forth to that hospital again is just not on, would sooner pay and go private. (long as I don't forgo my planned new kitchen.............lol) and OH agrees with me on that one.
Had lousy day yesterday........think I got so wound up at hospital Thursday when silly doctor didn't show and just couldn't wind down. Weather didn't help -warm but very heavy.
Seeing OH tonight -there's a Burger King at the hospital he says he might try..............chicken hotpot last night was almost inedible !
Gardening chap bringing me some cooking apples.........might put my delia hat on and make a crumble...........just for me..............lol:)
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
