It is my small daughter's second birthday today :D

Belated Happy Birthday to the small one!!! :D:D:D
And what on earth are you selling on ebay!! lol

elysia - kitchen idea, yeah, I'm definitely leaning that way! Thanks! And thanks for the Wilkinsons sale heads up!

Angela - love the idea of a cake collage! :D Glad you've heard from DS!

Hi 1more?, Anny11, ALAJ and any other new people I've missed!

susan - glad you got the crisis with your DD sorted! Wendy house idea is great but I'll have to speak nicely to my parents - our garden isn't suitable but theirs would be perfect!

mary - did you get those zip files open? Can I help??
OMG with your OH!! Sending lots of love.

Pips Mum - love the mug idea, and love the saying! lol Why a travel mug rather than a normal mug?

    mrs-moneypenny - Pandora bracelet, what a bargain!!

mum2one - thanks for the tip with the trampoline!! Glad you had a lovely weekend!

Pips Mum - thanks for heads up about ready beds in Home Bargains!

rufus - belated happy birthday to Mr Rufus!

I got a bargain this weekend off ebay - anyone heard of the Really Nasty Horse racing Game? It's fab - we played it ina gite in France last year, then managed to get it off ebay last year cheap. It's brill. The same company made another game - The Really Nasty Motor Racing Game which you can't get new for any cheaper than £49.99!!! And it's rarely on ebay! Managed to win one for - including postage - around £12!! It's arrived and it's in fantastic condition. Hardly used. All the pieces are immaculate - the box slightly scuffed on the corners but hardn't anything. That will be a joint pressie from 'Father Christmas' to the whole family!

Off to sort my Christmas gift list now. Been putting it off long enough!

Oh and should have said that I hope you and yours are all safe in these awaful riots. My PIL and SIL live a bit too near to Croydon for comfort, and SIL lives v close to a retail park where the ASDA was on fire. Not fun. So big hugs all roung, and major kudos to the riot clean up force on twitter!

    Morning all

Had a busy weekend of it, had family round Friday, then MIL came Saturday for the weekend. We were going to take her home to Lewisham on Monday but she said she would get the train as OH didnt have much petrol left in the car. Glad we did as the trouble all brewed up later that afternoon and we would have been in the thick of it as have to drive through the town to get home, plus we would have gone there for some shopping.

I managed to get a bit of sewing done instead Monday afternoon and did a bit more yesterday, made some more bits for my shop (pics on my blog).

I got a voucher this morning from O2 surprises for £10 off Sainsbury shop but not for groceries. Not sure if I will use it as can't think of what to buy, you have to spend £50.

    Hope everyone is well xx

    Hi everyone

Hi Clare, I've never heard of those games, lucky you winning one of them.

Fedup reading about all the seeds you've bought reminded me of a really interesting idea on Martha Stewart's website.

    SEED/PLANT reminder

Get some card and make lots of large luggage labels with a hole in the top.
    Attach to a ring
Whenever you buy a plant (with instructions) or seeds, attach the growing instructions or empty seed packs on one side of the label and write the location in your garden and any info on the reverse.
The idea is you have all your plant info in one place, that is easy to find

Mum2one, glad you missed the bad traffic and arrived safely as to paying for the expensive drinks - have you heard of Switchwords?
A psychological technique of getting what you want in life. Say the words (to yourself) 'FIND REACH COUNT' during the day and you might be surprised by the resuts.

Clare, after getting a headache from non stop tv and internet updates the last few days I decided not to watch or read about it anymore as it was getting too much. Amazing to think that not long ago London was full with people watching the Royal Wedding.

Rufus, did you MIL arrive home safely? I'm thinking about your voucher, will you end up paying more in the long run because you don't really need anything from there?

Mary - hope you find out what is going on.

    Hi to everyone else.

Things are a bit strange at my end, I find myself too pre-occupied with DS and his problems and never seem to do anything that I'm meant to.

Clare - I'm on the edges of Birmingham about 10 miles away, and it's spreading so much, it's a bit too close for comfort. They even closed off our very small town centre yesterday and all I could hear all night was sirens. I shut the curtains and turned off the TV - it's too scary.

Thanks Anglea - I know what Hawthorns are, and these are so vivid, I think it may well be a warning that they are poisonous. I'll steer well clear. Thanks again.

Mary - I hope you and OH got a good nights sleep. Thinking of you both.

Susan - thanks for letting me know hun. ;)

    Hello all :j
Seeing OH tonight so hopefully might find out exactly whats going on. Registrar saw him this morning and told him he may be able to go home tomorrow ! Don't think so. I don't want him home till I know that what was lurking isn't any more!

Gardener chap popped up today to adjust my solar lights -I thought the plants had grown over them but I'd put them in wrong............all I had to do was stick the bottom peg in the other way up to make them taller so I could see them. How daft can you get...............lol:rotfl:
Dug up first lot of potatos..........not many but they needed getting up so the french beans behind them could see some daylight ! Hopefully now they'll start to grow a bit more.

Done not much else as folk popping in and out. Next thing is dinner so I'm all ready to visit OH tonight...........another session with cooking courgette.................lol:)

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

rufus & elysia - glad you're both safe. STAY safe!

Angela - the horse racing one is great. Forget the fact it's horse racing (not a big fan myself!) but the way the game works is great, and devious!!

Mary - hope OH is a bit better when you visited today!

    Hugs to all.

    Hi all

Hope Mary got to the hospital after trying out the courgettes again LOL About the solar lights, I often find there is something in the house that I've been trying to do wrong for years without realising.

It reminds me of the many times ex used to get annoyed with me putting the glass jars into the dishwasher and I never understood why as he didn't give any explanations. It wasn't until he left home that I realised the sticky labels come off and go all over the other crockery :) Now I soak the jars in the sink.

Elysia, I think it's best not to try those berries I really think they are vibernums because they are red but also have unriped greeny ones. If they were bigger e.g the size of a 5 p there are a few other edible possibles.

Rufus, glad you MIL got home ok.

Today I was thinking of this thread when I came upon a possible extra for the Christmas hot chocolate pressies - first time I've seen this.

They were see through plastic tubes filled with minute chocolate balls that you put into a glass of milk and use like a straw.

There were also some Easter gifts, metal watering cans, fancy boxes with eggs etc all for girls, this was in the Factory shop..

She will be doing a LOT of travelling (main reason I took Redundancy) so I figured a travel mug might be more useful, also maybe bit cheaper but not sure?

Mary hope OH finds out what his pockets are?? Fingers crossed its pockets of money! x x

Hope everyone is staying safe, had a few copycat riots here but thankfully police squashed them quickly.
