Hello all :j
Thanks for all your kind thoughts.
Saw OH last night........he's very depressed and still in severe pain but I had a word with the nurse and she said she'll keep an eye on him, particularly for the depression.
He's due a ct scan this afternoon so maybe that will show something up.........so far nothing else has but there must be something
Angela -don't think its diverticulitis......he's already had half his colon removed plus appendix, plus gall bladder.......can't be much left.
Hope youre all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Oh am I pleased with today's find!
Popped into Mr T's first thing to check out the reduced gardening stuff and came across some trugs on the shelf. Checked the price - £1.25!!! Bought 2 (one for me and one for Mum's hamper) result as saw one not too different in Homebase for £9.99 and on amazon for about the same price with postage. Might go back for another one for a further hamper. Also picked up some small metal buckets with a wooden handle for 87p. Also some seed kits for 50p (full price £5 - never seen them for this price but have seen them for £3). Lastly some pretty good looking secateurs for £3.50 reduced from £10.
That's mum's hamper almost done apart from some handcream and soap
Total price is a very low one for the amount bought - will have a total up at some point to see what the total spend was and rrp and amount savedfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Hello all :j
OH's scan showed 2 pockets of something or other -he didn't think to ask , typical man ! Doctor doesn't want to operate so soon so trying antibiotics at the minute.
Made a button necklace this morning.......greens, blacks, and creams -trying to make it sort of 'festive'............lol
Then one of OH's mates came round to see if I needed some shopping so that took care of another hour or so chatting.
One of those days where I had every intention of doing so much and done so little.
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary - fingers crossed for OH, typical man two pockets of what? First thing you`d ask. A hug for you too as all this gadding about must be taking it out of you x
Alja - hampers can be put in all sorts of things...dunelm mills have some that are lovely if you can get them in the sales, get a trug if your doing gardening things, they`re in home bargains or wilkensons. I `ve even covered cardboard boxes and wrapped cellophane around with a big bow
fed up and skint - great prices on your things , well done. Do you make your bathroom things with a kit?
elysia - i`m fine, seen surgeon today, in in about 6 weeks.....
hi angela- did you get any picking done
mum2one - have a great break, im sure you`ll come back feeling the better for it.
suagspun - wow, what a fortune that was on ebay - well doneChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Hi all
Elysia, it sounds a bit like vibernum which is poisonous although parts of it can be used in jellies, don't know which parts though. You'll have to do a search on hedgerow plants and look up vibernum to make certain. Possibly it's hawthorn if it's very small.
No Susan, I still haven't gone blackberrying. I had a plastic bag with me today so I could go on the way back from the shops but I had some frozen stuff so couldn't go.
Mary, your OH having inflammed pockets. I know you said he had most of his colon removed, but in whatever is left, it might be inflamed diverticular pouches.
Fedup, it seems as though you've already bought loads for the gardening hampers, you mum will be very pleased.
Tq- I haven't heard of that diet, you don't mean Mediterranean do you?0 -
Angela - thanks............I'll make note of that for when I go tomorrow night. You never know there might be someone there who can tell me something.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I'll be making some bath melts from a kit and lip balm, then using raw materials for bath salts and foot scrub as have plenty of essential oils to use upFedup, it seems as though you've already bought loads for the gardening hampers, you mum will be very pleased.
Thank you both for your kind comments. Mum really got into growing things this year as a result of last years things and I decided to do another one this year. Started off with seeds and it went from there. Plus it's nice for us to visit gardens and centres for a look at plants and enjoy this together

Mary - hope OH goes on ok, and you manage to get some rest inbetween it all.
Angela - oh heck to the traffic jams...
Think we fell lucky we had a straight throu run, thou left at 5am, down in devon eating breakie at 9am, 200 miles, included loo stop, thou the service station was heaving, sort of felt sorry for people queued with their breakfast waiting to pay!!
We've having a gd break, trying the mse way... lucky Sunday, went to our fav pub, and were talking to a couple at the next table, and they gave us a free childs entry for Shaldon Zoo, saved us £5, and we got return tickets for £1. each... so Miss hoodie going to take dad, was a bit steep for me, then we'd been recommended the beach by there, told it was through a tunnel in the cliff.. but they forget to say there was 96 steps at the other end!!
Had a quick!! drink at the club on the site £4 for a pint of cider!! just need the rich man or winning lottery numbers!xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
