In the previous place I lived, the neighbours asked if they could use my bin, and I said yes - and they kept on using it. Once, they stuffed so much in that the used cat litter *I* had put in at the bottom was jammed into the bin so hard that when the binmen tipped it upside down, it didn't come out. As you can imagine, it really smelt for the next few weeks
Then the live in girlfriend of their son used my bin instead of theirs when she had a clear out. The mother, the one I used to talk to, was very apologetic about this stuff, but it did happen every so often. I guess its part of living in close proximity - I managed to get perspective on it in the end, it *is* a small thing (except for the smell of used cat litter, lol) I think its more the *feeling* of being taken for granted thats at issue? It was for me, anyway.

Can I ask what the code is, please, or where you found it? I had a look on the Discounts and Vouchers Board, and they seem to be saying there's nothing, not for a £30 shop (argh, and I only have £14.46 I want to buy! Rats
)

Thanks Esmer - I wouldn't order because I thought there was a minimum spend to get free postage too.

kiwi - get yourself to the doctors s.a.p. or at least phone nhs direct. And your health is more important than worrying about a new years eve party...........pack of cards stapled on to whatever you wear would be fine but do take care of yourself.
Angela..........not sure whas happening with out bins..........they normally get collected on Tuesdays but for the love of my I can't remember which bin is supposed to go out - I can't do it, nor can OH and the bin men don't like to come behind the gate to collect. If it doesn't get collected well, thats least of my worries.
We have a standing arrangement with neighbour that if her bins full and we have space she can use ours and vice versa. Please don't fret about it.
Been trying to find a scrapbooking site thats having a sale on of decent papers...........getting mind boggled I am..............lol So thought I'd give up........for now anyway.
Hugs (((((:o))) to all those who don't feel 100%........take things easy.:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Afternoon everyone,
Been out shopping all day, youngest daughter bought two large carrier bags full of clothes and shoes for herself. I got my self three nice tops in New Look in the sale and another in M&S also in the sale. Still have about £27 in New Look vouchers left so I can have a look in our local one tomorrow and see if anything different in there.
Want to go to the town tomorrow anyway to see if I can get my special cards for next year if they still have some in Card Factory and some wrapping paper too.
OH used his Sat Nav that I bought him for Xmas today first time and its faulty, bloody nuisance, bought it off an Amazon Market seller. Its a firm not just a person so hoping they can sort something out. OH wanted me to ask for a refund which I have done but on reading their returns policy it states they will give a refund or exchange if its within 28 days of purchase for a faulty item but after that it would need to be returned to be mended. I am a bit annoyed as I said to OH when I first bought it back at the end of October to go and try it out in case it didnt work but he couldnt be bothered. Think it might just be the charger that doesnt work properly (it plugs in the lighter socket in the car) as when you plug it in the light on it doesnt come on until you fiddle about with it but even so it didnt charge up all the time we were out. There was a little bit of battery life on it when we bought it which lasted for about 10 miles and then that was it.
Anyway, will let you know how I got on. Hope everyone is ok, Esmer hope your little girl is on the mend, Rufus xx0 -
I love this site. I didn't want to buy the expandible veg steamer from lakeland as I found it cheaper at wilkinsons, and I wanted the other stuff but with the delivery charge, they were completely uneconomic. And now I have no delivery charge :j just a little patience, and the helpfulness of others. Its a wonderful thing.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi all
re the bins, it wasn't a next door neighbour but someone else. We all live apart from each in my road so it's not as though our bins are standing anywhere near. It wasn't just that it was rubbish, but one bag was full of stuff that would be recycled and yukky things mixed up with it. I know some people get fined if the wrong items are found in the bins. I think that's what particularly annoyed me.
I wouldn't dream of walking to their house and putting all my rubbish in their bins. Not unless we'd had a conversation about it in advance so I was surprised that it was done to me.
I don't know if it was actually them who did it, or some Good Samaritan wanting to tidy up the street.
right, got that off my chest
Mary, if you are mixed up with the bins, at least put out the food bin each time.0
