    Hi all

Mary I think it's probably a good thing he did eat the broccoli or else he would have got home and had pains later on.

I couldn't find the button bag now I was looking for it, so you'll have to take a look round the site - some very odd things, it should take your mind off your worries for a while.

I saw some crocheted croissants amongst other things :)

Word of warning, don't look at this site if you are prone to headaches - or have one now - too much happening on each page. I can't use it very often because of this.

Angela - thanks for the link. I'll have a look tomorrow when my brain's not so ''busy''......lol

Doctor has been to see OH but just general doctor who didn't seem to know much about his case (mind you its all in his notes).........he's back on saline drip and Nil by Mouth and been given different pain killers in the hope they'll ease the stomach pain. Proper doctor (as OH calls him) is seeing him tomorrow.........not sure what time.Just hope we get some answers now.
This is wearing me down as well as OH. OH doesn't think it was the broccoli........he's got a feeling its something else but doesnt know what.

    Hello all :j

Angela - not sure whether he's taken anti-inflammotories or not and he took all his medication with him. He's still in pain, no painkillers seem to work and his stomachs all bloated like it was when he went in. Doctor saw him today and arranged xrays, ct scan and there's the ultra sound that was booked anyway so hoping something shows up but OH thinks another op is on the cards maybe tomorrow. All a bit of a worry to say the least.
I'm trying to think about other things but its very hard.
Still musnt get all down and depressed -does no-one anygood least of all me so :) smile.......thats better...............lol

Still too hot for me to bear today........thankfully its supposed to cool down tomorrow............I hope.........then I'll be saying its too cold............lol:)

    Hope you're all ok:)

Will be thinking of you and OH tomorrow Mary, hope they find out what it is after all this. My ExMil was taken back into hospital last night and has had to have an emergency operation this afternoon as she had a blocked intestine. They corrected her hernia as well while in there but I havent heard how she is tonight. Waiting for my daughter to let me know as she is working at the hospital tonight and will pop to see her Nan. They told her before that she had gall stones as she had bad pains in her stomache area but said they couldnt operate as she has a bad heart (already had a heart attack and a stroke) but looks like they had to this time.

It has been so hot today again down in the South East. Temperature on the car dashboard was saying 35 degrees earlier when we came home from shopping. Just hoping we get some rain tonight. I love thunderstorms and we have been told we may get one tonight so hoping OH will let me have the window open and I dont sleep through it all.

    Hello all:j

rufus - fancy that........OH had blockage hence removal of half the colon and as a follow up an ultra sound xray was arranged to check for gallstones as there was some concern there...........he left hospital May 17th...........ultra sound appt came through for yesterday ! Why so long I don't know. Anyway yesterday he had more xrays and the ultrasound..........no ct scan that had been mentioned......and today doctor tells him its gallstones !! No op - being treated with medication. How that works I don't know and OH was a bit vague..........never asks about anything like that. He thinks he'll be home Thursday but surely they'll need to check the medications working before he's discharged. Least he's now on protein soups and dietician said he can have other snacks as well. She also said the diet we had was healthy and to carry on ! Well since I've been told no tomatos cucumbers I'm sticking to that.
I'm going to see him tonight so might know more then.

    Hope youre all ok:)

    Morning all

Well we finally got the thunderstorm yesterday afternoon. Was pretty dramatic too, havent seen rain like that for a long time. Cooled everything down a little bit but still quite warm, nothing like it was though.

Had a phone call from GD last night asking if I would go and watch her assembly this morning so just waiting to go over. Meeting my friend this afternoon then.

Got bit of a dilema with YD, her friends mum and dad are going on holdiay this weekend and leaving the daughter at home alone until Thursday as its their prom on Tuesday. She is going to meet up with them on Thursday and has asked YD to go with her so she doesnt have to travel on her own plus she would like YD to go anyway. Thing is we live down in Kent and holiday is in Norfolk so long journey. This girl is already 16 but my daughter isnt 16 until later next month.

OH thinks they will be fine going together, they can get a train from here to St Pancreas and then a train from there to Kings Lynn where the family are supposed to be meeting them, its just me being worried about them being in London on their own in between trains. I know she will have her phone on her and I can ring the see where they are but I am such a worrier. What do you all reckon? She really wants to go. I can't go up with them as can't afford the train fare.

    Hello all :j
Well, saw OH last night and he didn't look too bad considering. Dietician had given him some protein soups -he had one as he was starving but said they were so awful he's having no more so had the normal soup on the menu and half a sandwich. Now he's on about coming home Friday -says he definitely doesn''t want to be there for the weekend but I'll have to phone up I think and insist that doctor checks that whatever he's taking is actually working otherwise he'll be back in there again.

susan -never a dull moment in this household.............lol

Least today, after the last few days of not feeling motivated to doing anything I set to this morning, tidied up, got some washing on and did a ''kitchen kebab'' for cleaner............shes back tomorrow (her MIL stepped in while she was away thank goodness) as a sort of welcome back pressie...........just a skewer with brillo pads, wire scourers and those sponge ones on it.........wrapped in cellophane with a bow...............lol She'll love it

    Hope you're all ok

rufus- i`m sure she`ll be fine, DD travelled to Wales and back since she was 14yo. the first time she went i got here to text me every hour. The 2nd time i asked the guard to keep an eye on her. ;)

I think as long as theres someone the other end to meet them they`ll be fine . And as theres two of them so thats even better.:D
