Been sewing all morning making some blocks for another quilt, just came down for some lunch and found I was covered in bits of thread lol. Good job I looked in the mirror and didnt go to meet my mate like it.

The Converse trainers came today for YD, well pleased with them, I know she will love them and such quick delivery too. Thats one nice present away for Christmas.

Dad asked me to order him a dvd this morning so tenner gone out of my stash of vouchers for Christmas so will have to put that tenner by when he gives it to me back so I dont spend it.

    Hi all

Clare, it was me that mentioned the cook book. You did buy the exact one I was talking about even though I couldn't remember the name of the author at the time.

Rufus that might have been funny going out with threads.

Mary what can I suggest for the wool........a bag?

Recently I saw some very interesting accessories - knitted and crocheted flowers with cross stitched centres (on fabric) and beads sewn in the middle too. They looked very elegant and unusual. On the back was some fabric and a pin to make a brooch.

This week and the next will be spent on divorce stuff, I've got the papers to sign and still haven't finished the form. How did you get on mum2one?

hope all are well, reading through everyone certainly looks busy.

took dad hm muffins (as well as a card and a bottle of brandy), sadly went with Dh to the cemetry to 'be with' his dad, kids really tried hard for DH it was first fathers day since losing his dad so subdued but they made him a lovely cake and got him fitness stuff and some dvds he wanted.

busy filling jamjars for the school fete got 3 more to fill it just time consuming cutting and rolling the papers.
got a few things to post that id made for differnt people so im hoping to get the table cleared tonight with them all packaged and tomorrow will get the posted off so i can start again.
managed to get two frames from the carboot so want to frame two cross stitches ive done.

How about those knitted slippers Mary, you saying you could use both yarns together made me think of them. I havent got a pattern but sure there must be one somewhere on the net. My mum used to knit them for us all when she was alive.

rufus - i`m intrigued, knitted slippers, i`ll have to google those, always got cold feet

hi mrs monneypenny - hope your OH `s ok, the 1st of everything without someone is difficult, but sounds like you have a fab support system

I `m off on the disabled outing today, have to start picking everyone up at 10 so better start making an effort

heres a laugh for you, yesterday was lead in bed, dont wear pjs, OH had been in with my tea and bacon and mushroom sandwich and open the curtains, had used my netbook to catch up on internet and was just getting out of bed when the window cleaner popped his head up and looked in. I dont know who was the most shocked , so I jumped back into bed and waited until his car went, got up and the workman were on the roof of next door looking in. At this moment in time the cutains are closed as I can hear them opposite on the roof......lol

And yesterday, I started making a xmas card, i didnt finish it because DSSon decided to bring some mates for tea and then I had to go on line and order a provisional for one of them. At this rate it`ll be xmas before I make any

Susan - a wonder he didnt fall off the ladder lol. Bet they see some sites on their rounds. I remember years ago when we lived in our last house. It was in winter so dark evenings. I was upstairs, had tucked the kids in and went to close the curtains in my room and the house opposite had the woman standing in the room with the lighhts on, naked lol. Was clear as day, I thought blimey better shut my curtains quick before she sees me looking out, then next thing before I could shut them a bloke walked in and it was my next door neighbour lol. They were both naked. Hence I shut the curtains quick but was always so embarrassed after that when I saw either of them especially if they were with their husband or wife lol.
