Claire - I've not tried the Lemon or strawberry yet but will let you know.
They also do a thick cut orange now. It's been dispatched already, and my next door neighbour gave me a Jam kettle this morning, bless him. It was a wedding present, and he would have been married 59 years. I've promised to look after it well.
Was it you who wanted a plastic bag sealer? There's one in Lakeland half price I think.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi all
Before I forget, Clare, the tragedy with marshmallows was because it was in hot chocolate and expanded.
I signed the divorce papers. Up to now ex and I have had a very different relationship to most people who seperated in that we spend time together with family every weekend and ring up as well.
However I'm not sure how it's going to be once the finances are going to be dealt with. He seems to believe that everything will carry on as normal. I've already told him I'm not doing mediation mainly because we see each other a lot, men can switch off straight after a confrontation but I can't and get upset.
Wollen slippers. Years ago I used to do a lot of cross stitch and crochet for a charity and then they started asking for slippers too, I crocheted them. Never kept a pair but wished I had now. There was a very easy method to make them from granny squares and halves, it might sound naff, but they were extremely attractive if you got the right colours.0 -
mrs-moneypenny - Reindeer food definitely on my list! Thanks! Traffic jam... :rotfl:
rufus - I've bookmarked that thread too!! lol LOTS to read on there now. Blimey. And your story of the reindeer poop made me laugh!!
mum2one - thanks for the flavoured coffee idea - I'm just a bit worried about doing anything edible/drinkable..... maybe unnecessarily... Fingers crossed for you with solicitors!!
mary - lovely idea's thank you. COuld possibly do some fabric christmas decorations with left over felt after I've made my daughter's advent calendar....
susan - thanks for that, I'll take a look! Like I said above, still not sure about the food/drink element...
Angela - I didn't see that article. Sounds horrendous. Was it because there were traces of nut or something??
Ddraig - *wave*
elysia - thanks for the info regarding the marmalade! Had to make some for OH two weeks ago - didn't realise it could come in other flavours! Is it as bitter as marmalade or more like jam?? (thinking of the strawberry - I'm guessing the lemon is like lemon marmalade!)
Ok, this is what I'm hoping to make for the charity 'pink party' so far:
Bracelets
Handbag Charms / Key Rings (using odd beads!)
Reindeer Food
Bags of humbugs (they're wrapped so not worries about them! lol)
Might also do some tealight painted jars and somethign with candy canes. I think that might be enough though for now!!
Clare x
just thought what about magic santa keys, just use old house keys, and you either glue then dip in glitter, or paint silver or gold, and attach ribbon and note saying Magic santa key, there is a poem, I'lll try and hunt it out for you.

Spoke to the solicitors, so far they haven't had any news, checked the file, and the lifebook was meant to be filed at court by 4pm on Monday, but the next date is 8th July, which is when the cafcass report has to be filed about the lifebook, before we go back on 14th, so basically have to keep our fingers crossed till the 8th July. They've said wait and see, they don't want to ring as it may give them a reminder that it hasn't been done. So hope he hasn't.
Have managed to upset the grandparents, as I refused to pull Miss Hoodie out of school for them to see her, as there squeezing one night with us, they expected the day with her, I appriciate there coming from Ireland, and are only over for a short break, but there going up to see their other son and grandchild, and more family, so in reality they could have done the trip in reverse so they were here for one day of the weekend.
So its just meeting them for tea.... at least its not to much pressure on Miss Hoodie, so guess its worked out better for us.
Wish me luck, will update later xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

OH had appt come today for ultrasound scan on his stomach Monday...........he sees stomach chappie tomorrow so its all a bit back to front really. No mention had been made about an ultrasound scan on his stomach.........why do the men in white coats never tell you anything ? He was hoping it was to do with his spine as he sees back chappie next Friday and be nice to have all the results there.........oh well, can't win 'em all.
Lovely morning and now we have rain.........OH still not been able to use his water sprinkler...........lol:rotfl:

susan - I'll take care.........or try to.......lol Back always ached when I've been shopping so then its a case of ''sit down and do nothing'' abd Bills is worse when he's done something but we're both trying hard to be ''normal'' (whatever that is) ...........OH did dinner I'm just left with the washing up.........he always seems to created twice as much as me !!
Lovely christmas card..........:T Mine were all done earlier on, quick, cheap and cheerful and using what I'd got as I couldn't get out to get stuff. Just got to do the family and close friends ones now.:)
Thought of an idea for christmas pressie...........how about ''christmas in a box'' -shoe box with some red fabric hearts in and a soft tree -maybe a flannel yule log and something else..........not sure what. I did some fabric hearts for my son last year and he loved them..........I know he'd like one of the soft trees.....just need to think of some other stuff thats easy to do..........and cheap:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

It worked our brilliantly, (big phew), got dad to take us, (bless him), left Miss Hoodie in the car, and had a qucik chat with them, more to say to thats he'd been in touch, no more from solicitor, apologise over not going out fri (use a white lie), but the very interesting bit, there other son, he apolgised everything, although he knew he was a prize pratt, its only been last couple yrs that he's relaised how much.
So went and got Miss Hoodie, it was so funny she was almost as tall as her nan, Miss Hoodie was a bit shy at first, (totally understandable, literally meeting 4 strangers, 3 as the brothers wife turned up later). after about 10 mins, she let her guard down, think the presents may have been a sweetner... There was a card with £50 in from grandparents, then envelope with £20 from the other son, her Uncle. Then the grandparents, said we've brought her a present, becareful where she wears it, as its a proper one... thinking ok.... Miss Hoodie opens the box, there was a silver pandora bracelet, and they'd had a dog charm put on it, to celbrate the first meeting of her, they'd put in a note everytime they meet her, bday and xmas there get her a charm.
To say she got spolit rotten wasn't the word. I got spolit as well, they brought me a lovely clover necklace.
Litterally with 15 mins, you'd have thought she'd know them all her life, they all hit it off brilliantly, when dad come + picked us up, he stayed and had a drink with them. There fuming about his lordship, as he said basically choose, him and his son or me + Miss Hoodie - they've choosen us, but are still going to call and see him. I'm plzed for Miss Hoodie, as its gives her a link to her family. They've asked us if we would like to Ireland, and the son as asked us to go down to Wales. Still going to take it one day at a time. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
