    Evening everyone

Managed to get up and do a bit of sewing this evening, have got quite a lot of the top of my Dad's quilt sewn up, just the top and bottom row of blocks to finish. Have sent reminders to the family members who havent brought their messages round yet.

Not got anything else done, bit hard when OH is asleep on nights. Have spent most of the day doing this months challenge on the other thread trying to make some pennies.

Nice bargains moneypenny, well done. have yet to get to a boot fair this year, only managed to get to one or two last year, They are just that much too far for me to walk to, I would never be able to walk there and back especially if I buy anything. Asking OH to take me in the car is like bashing my head against a brick wall.

    Hello all:j
OH had another rough night -I got up at 7.30am.....couldn't lay any longer and now feel like I've been up forever.............lol
He's gone off for his MRI scan today and tomorrow we see consultant for results etc. Dreading it in a way which is silly. Whatever it is has to be dealt with so I'm trying to put on a positive front for his sake as much as mine.
Nuff said...............back shed has now been cleared:T Where does it all come from ? My word those ''Life of Grime'' programmes would have had a field day..............lol
Gardening chappie helped clear the rubbish so no gardening today.......Thursday he said -better be. Poor little plants are crying out for new homes.........I'd love to go away and have ''ground force'' in........just come back and its all done. Oh the bliss ! Still, back to reality.............:( it might be done ready for autumn..............lol:rotfl:

Occupational therapist has been to sort out what sort of ramp I need for the back door so I can get my scooter out of the kitchen. When the builder eventually comes and sees what wants doing (garage doors off, brick up half of it and put shed type door in) than I won't need a ramp. Can keep the scooter in a nice clear shed............lol Mind you, he keeps saying he'll come and have a look, give a quote etc. and how many weeks has it been ? Lost count.
Ho hum.......such is life as they say ......all things come to those who wait..................do they ?? Hope so...............lol:rotfl:

    Hope you're all ok:)

    Hello all :j

mum2one-Occ.Therapist is providing the ramp free of charge...........doubt that we'd get help changing the garage to a big shed. Already getting grant from council for shower and stair lift.

rufus - congrats. on being a gran again :T and hope MIL carries on improving:)

Well, what a day !! We were supposed to see consultant today for OH's results -twas not to be.
OH was up half the night being sick, then trots followed. He was in no fit state at all. Didn't get up till 2.30pm and still feeling rough and in such pain in his stomach. Rang surgery and spoke to GP and he's prescribed soluble painkillers and some anti-trots stuff..........just hope it doesn't all turn to the severe constipation again:( GP thinks its a bug thats going round and if he's no better tomorrow he'll do a home visit. OH then goes into panic mode as he's due for bone density scan tomorrow:eek: Still, who knows, he may well be different again when tomorrow comes. I do hope so. It's wearing me out what with one thing then another and another..........:(
Rang hospital and spoke to consultants secretary to explain why he wouldn't be there and asked if it were possible for him to phone and speak to either me or OH............''he's very busy'' says she. Well, he could use OH's allocated appointment time I thought. Still, maybe thats not how they do things although another specialist he was seeing for chest probs a year back did phone with results of biopsy so just shows it can be done.
Now OH peed off that he won't know anything more till a new appointments made.
Result being my day has been right out the window.............did bit of knitting but spent most of the time playing at ''nurse'' (not something I'm that good at I have to say...........lol) so now ''hiding'' in comp. room................lol:)

Hope you're all having somewhat better day than me..............still, I keep smiling but its turning into a sort of ''idiots grin'':D.............lol

Cdsmiler - thxs for link to thead, i just joined in. Wow thats some tent, are you camping or moving house lol

I just come back from a few days in the Lakes (Coniston) The weather was fab, it was a bit of a disaster going, broke down. Got it fixed, went 4 mile broke down again differnet problem, went few miles, broke down again....arrrggg rac man thought it was funny and said he`d follow us up if he could come with us. Got there and had a water leak.....never mind the weather was ace

Oh no!! Naughty car!! lol By the way, we've BOUGHT THE TENT! Semi MSE - had to use a CC (boooo) but it was reduced to £250!! (yeay!!) Arrived at go outdoors the day before I was on sale, but they were handing out leaflets advertising the upcoming sale week so I asked if I could reserve the tent and pick it up the next day at the sale price - they said yes! Wooooo! Hubby wanted to get the porch straight away too (incase they were discontinued?!?!) and I insisted on the footprint - we're not officially planning on using it this year, but IF we do, the footprint will look after it. (I'm working on hubby....)

    Welcome back esmer!

mary - you're doing fab!! How you do it I'll never know!! Hope OH is feeling a bit better tomorrow so he can go for his scan....

    rufus - congrats on number 5!!!!!! :T

    Big wave to everyone else!!

Had a very strange two days (Good Friday and the Saturday) - on the way to London to visit the in laws, popped into one of the service stations on the M4 for a wee (as you do!), and who passed me just coming out of the loos?? Matt Smith!! Yes, the Doctor!! Had a moment let me tell you!! Then the next day when hubby and I were having a day in London (DD with grandparents, very MSE for us - gift tickets for two shows and tesco vouchers for Bella Italia!!) when we chance upon an open air concert in trafalgar square, just missed Newton Faulkner (who was still stood to the side watching!) and managed to listen to Alfie Boe singing!! While the heavens opened and a massive thunderstorm raged!! Very surreal.....

Anyway, off to look at the challenge!!
