Hello all :j
Thankfully OH slept ok though tossed and turned a bit with several ''ouch'' noises but when he got up and walked about a bit he didn't feel too bad. He insisted on walking into town -it's not far- and long as he takes it steady he thinks he'll be ok with painkillers and some cream he bought.
I'm worrying about going away for a few days on Sunday..........long journey to Worthing -for me and him with our backs ! -plus he'll have to wheel me about when we get there. He swears he'll be able to manage..............I'm not so sure. Sooner lose the Travelodge money (special offer so not much) than go and not enjoy ourselves. So, he's got till Thursday............I've told him if I don't think he'll be up to it I'll cancel it and we'll go later in the year. Men !!
Hope you're all ok.............been a lovely day here:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Thanks everyone for your kind messages.
Im ok, thxs mum to one for the chlorestrol update, I dont know why i got it, cant even spell it....:D
Oh mary - I`m sorry about OH back, we all know how painful they can be
I `ve snuck on here at this time as I had to order tickets for Leeds Festival for son. I had to get 4 , and his other mates getting 4 as there was a gang of them going....cant believe how much they were. And the annoying thing is they take £7 booking fee from each kid. So with lockers passes and early tickets worked out just short of £1000. What a money spinner that.:eek::eek:
Rufus - i had to smile, i walk in hobbycraft se the prices and keep on I`ll get the things on the internet cheaper, OH says why do we go for then, we have to get our idas somewhere dont we ...:rotfl:
hi restricted

Esmer - No didnt add extra `o` and just checked that the transaction went through and they put another £5.75 booking fee on the whole transaction. So £33.75 booking fee to book 4 tickets what a scam that is.
Things like that wind me up because its two minutes on the net...to book. (Well 45 mins to be precise) it took me that long to get on site...
And they post tickets to you nearer date.....never mind he had a fantastic time last year, and theres more going this year.
Not very MSE though.
I made a couple of cards at the weekend, so getting into the swing of things. They were jungle themed and space themed, will have to blog them when I have 5 mins, completely neglected it lately.Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Hiya Susan - it's good to see you posting again. You will take care won't you?
I'm glad to see you're making some cards - I must admit I've been neglecting my blog too. Savvy got me inspired last week, so I started making some cards last night too.
Sorry just a quick one - got to go out in a mo. I forgot I booked myself on a Jewellery making course, It starts in 20 mins so got to hurry.
Love to you all, take care xxxI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hope you have a good time on the jewellery making class Elysia xx
Had email from Vista yesterday to say they are sending out another mug free of charge so pleased with that, great customer service. Need to get another order done but will wait until next week now.
OH came home yesterday afternoon with some laminated flooring to go in our hall, wanted to put it down there and then but talked him into leaving it until this morning. Hoping he doesnt get up too late as we need a few bits from the town too and by the time we get to do the floor will be late afternoon again. I get so tired by then I will be getting ratty and I know what he is like trying to do anything, it will be that will do and big gap at the side or whatever or it wont be straight etc etc lol.
I have sewing to do but it will have to wait until next week I think as out tomorrow visiting ExMil is its her birthday. Thursday not sure what we doing but Friday I am out at son's, he wants some more help with his business selling so going over for the day. Weekend we have the MIL coming to stay so doubt I will get much done then. Need to get the binding done on my second denim quilt then that will be finished off, need to stitch up a skirt for GDD which is cut out as well. Have ordered a sewing pattern with top shorts and capri pants in it to see if I can make some of those too.0 -
Wow Rufus - do you ever sit down? LOL.
The jewellery course was great. It's just a taster to get people to sign up to full courses. I must admit, I like the sound of a stained glass one they are running £40 for a ten week course is really cheap. All the items needed are supplied for the first few weeks, but after that you need to buy your own. I made a little sead bead bracelt - I'll put it on my thingy in a minute, now I have something completed to put on there. I keep starting things and not finishing lately. Grrrr
So how's everyone else? Did I read OH has a bad back now too Mary? I hope he's ok soon. Will pop back later and try and catch up properly.
I will try and make a proper effort to post more often - lots going on lately though.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Crikey Rufus, you always seem so busy! I love seeing everything you make though so don't stop!
Glad you enjoyed your jewellery session Elysia, I'd love to do something like that but never seem to have the time. I have a box of beads and fixings home here so I really should have a play with that again sometime soon. I look forward to being inspired by your creationsMaking money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Hope everyone ok, Mary jope OH back better, Susan, glad ur up and running - take it wasy.
We had a brilliant weekend, no dramas, - went shopping to Telford Sat, so hired scooter, soon found plenty of use for the horn!! Miss Hoodie was funny - she hates shopping, in the middle of Primark, I'm bored, I'm hungry - popped to Greggs - the service was briliiant, they had a lot of the seeded rolls or tune and that, asked if they had any ham rolls, the lady came back and apoligised they had no rolls, but did a ham sandwich, most shops wouldn't go to that much trouble.
Sat ngt / sun moring, at 3am up in bed writing the place cards, Sunday morning realised hadn't got any flowers for mum. So got dad to run me to Mr A, I'm in Pjs, slippers coat chucked over - raided the discount buckets and some cheaper ones - managed to make a bouquet for mum, bit smaller one for Aunty then 2 bunches to take to the crem. My aunt couldn't believe thry weren't done by a florist - really chuffed - the flowers came to £15, - very mse.
The lunch went off brilliantly, everyone got one brillliantly, there was me trying to introduce people with a little break the ice story, (where we could) our one friend yrs ago was slighlty!!! worse for wear after xmas drinks here, - she got home wanted a lie down, forgot her curtains were operated by cords on the wall, she pulled them together and they came off the rail - her them hubby found her out for the count wrapped in curtains.
It went briliiantly, thou Miss Hoodie stole the show, - I gave everyone their vistaprint parcels - everyone loved them, for my aunt - she always jokes if she has another pig she'll leave home - so we keep buying pigs - shes still stuck there - had this pig plant pot holder - filled it with t-bags - and Miss Hoofdie told everyone the posh teabags mummy had nicked them when she went for a tutorial - (open up floor!!). Did well, even adding our drinks it came to £230 that for 26 people - (not being tight but some didn't want starters - very mse for me!!)
Had a little bit more good news the assisgnment sent in last week, 1st one new course - thought lost the plot, wasn't expecting anything above 40, got 75/100 so v pleased, thou have to work my rear off this _ next week, 2 assisgnments to be done (help!!) by 30th - get there.
Money saving gone slighly out of the window this month, but be back on track next month - thats the plan.
Miss Hoodie has started her list for the next challenge!! xx
Thou Sunday evening I was absolutely shattered.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
