Hi folks, have been lurking more than posting recently as have been up to my eyes making stuff for fundraising at the animal sanctuary I volunteer at.
Hope everyone is well - have a few pages to catch up on but hugs to everyone that needs them.
Abdonz - does your FIL have any places he would really like to visit? maybe get him a voucher or something for a local attraction that he has wanted to go to but hasn't got round to it? or maybe it sounds silly but would he appreciate a day out all of you together? sometimes the older you get the less materialistic you become and prefer time spent with people intead of actual things. (hope im making sense). Either way I hope you find something to sort him out with in the end - its hard when you have that kind of person to get things for.
Susiecm3 - Im in N. Ireland but we have them in Tesco and a shop called Sweetie/Stewart Millers i think instore/£stretchers also had some last time I was in and I'm nearly sure I've seen them in B & M Bargains. Hope that helps and you get sorted out.
Glad its quiet on here at the minute or I wouldn't be able to keep up.
Anyway got lots more to still do so better be off.

Hello all :j
Chap came this morning to measure up for a stair lift !! Oops ! Major panic as council had said they were taking out our old bath and putting a shower in........best that was done before stair lift put in but no-ones been about that yet and occ. therapist is off sick:eek: Oh lor.......and looking at the state of the stair carper we need a new one and that needs doing before the stair lift is fitted (poss. 6 weeks time!!) and after old bath comes out.....!!!
Much as I really appreciate all the help I'm given at the minute with the extra stair rail put in I can manage the stairs but I really do need the shower sorted out. Phone call in the morning I think.
Anyway, apart from that I set to and finished off foster daughters kitchen plaque -turned it into a hanging one instead of a magnet job.........OH got some nice blue check ribbon just the thing..........then I made her a little heart from some freebie fabric I'd got..........it had a piccy of a saucepan on it...............lol
That sort of took up the day..........then ventured outside into the cold and all the debris from OH and his mate knocking the old porch down ! What a mess ! Pile of wood, old door, loads of stuff destined for the skip...........but I've salvaged the little garden tools I wanted so they're now in the kitchen cupboard ............not a bad day.
Hope you're all ok
Next project to be sock puppets........I think:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Morning all
Had email from Vista to say my last two orders are on their way, sending them together so might be a big parcel. Looking forward to sorting it all out. Just had to do another one this morning, managed to get mug, bag, baseball cap and t shirt all for free but when I went through TCB it changed the tshirt to £3.50 again. Still I left it in this time. Ending up paying total £10.50 which I dont think is bad for the 4 items, only about £2.60 each or so.
Decided to give great nephews tshirt and mug with sweets. They both teenagers so ordering the medium tshirts. Will get small for two grandsons (eldest), and see what the size is like before ordering one for youngest. So still have a few more orders to do with them.0 -
Hello all :j
Made gift bag this morning for foster daughters bits then cleaner came -when she'd done downstairs we went upstairs and had a de-clutter of my wardrobe -again ! Where does it all come from ? A lot of stuff had fallen off coathangers so we sorted through and she's gone home with some plus bin bag for the charity shop. Least I can see what I've got now:)
Sorted through birthday cards I'd done and worked out who's having what and managed to find one card suitable for Mothers Day so thats that sorted.
Been sunshine most of the day but still really cold despite what the weather men keep saying.........:(
Oh well, might warm up for the weekend:)
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone
Went out today to a different town for a look round their charity shops for a change. Bought a nice soft toy baby wolf for daughter's birthday, was only £1.50 and its quite big and looks brand new. She is very into wolves still what with the Twilight films and books etc.
Also got one of those half slips to use the fabric to line a skirt for granddaugther's birthday. She was round yesterday so I measured her up ready.
Popped in WH Smiths to use the post office and saw a Jaqueline Wilson annual, was only £1.99 in the sale so bought that for her as well as she loves her stories.
Made my self another top yesterday, very pleased with it, cost me £6 for fabric and have enough for another skirt or dress for GGD (pic on blog).0 -
I got two of my vistaprint orders in one big box today, I'm so pleased with all the things! I got a mouse mat and keyring for my DH for Father's day. Both items have a picture of our son on and they've printed really well. I also got a mug for my MIL with the same picture on and 'Nannan' printed underneath. She's always mentioning the things I've had made for DH with our boy's pics on so I took the not-so subtle hint
I also got a canvas bag and pen for my SIL, 2 sets of cards and a t-shirt for myself. I'm really pleased wih the t-shirt as it said the image was of poor resolution so might not print right, I risked it and it's printed really well :T I'm so pleased with all of it, yeay!Making money for Christmas 2012!0
