Hi everyone sorry I've been away for sooo long, we bought the house and got the keys last Friday so a bit hectic at the mo. It's a building site no kitchen, bathroom. No carpets/wallpaper and we want to be moving next Saturday.
So with all this going on I've not been able to sort any birthdays or Christmas things, I'm sure once house is a slightly liveable I will be back full time.
Just wanted to pop on and say hi to everyone old and new
    Xx

    Hello all :j

abdonz - I'm sure it won't take you long to make the new house liveable enough to start sorting out christmas.............good luck with your new home:)

Went to a boot fair this morning................my first outing in the wheelchair :T Weather not so good as yesterday........bit grey and damp but I braved it anyway. Not much to be had but I got some card and foster daughters sister had a stall there and gave me three bags of pot pourri...........really lovely with cinammon sticks, dried fruit slices.........smelt fabulous :)
Was lovely to get out but felt really weird talking to foster daughter when I couldn't see her and being at a lower level..........handy though as I could see all the stuff at ground level easier even though there was nothing I wanted.
Was hoping for some odd balls of wall to add stripes to my next pair of wrist warmers but nothing at all.

    Hope your all ok :)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hello all :j
Sent OH on a mission to get some odd balls of wall from the charity shop but they'd gone:(
Not to worry though, I managed to find enough oddments to start on second pair of wrist warmers......worked out a different design for them so the stripes are done in garter stitch. I think it looks quite trendy........even OH thinks so. One done, another to go...........that'll be two pairs done:T
Must do something else tomorrow........shoulders ache sitting knitting.............I got carried away with it and really should have done a little bit then changed seating position................I'll never learn..............lol

    Hope you're all ok:)

    Hi All,

Just found your thread its brill!!

Can anyone explain the vista print offer to me please? Getting lost.

    Thanks xx

    Hi and welcome.

Vistaprint is a site where you can get free or very cheap personalised items. They do things like pens, mugs and canvas bags. If you go to the site there are permanent links for free pens and rubber stamps, however if you sign up to their newsletter they will send you regular links to lots more freebies. For example I got an email today with link for free bags, photobook, t-shirt, notecards, mugs, banners and postcards.

You have to pay postage and also a small upload cost if you want to use your own photo. If you join topcashback and go through them then you get £5 each Vista order you do. I can't always get it to work but it's a ice bonus if you can. Even if you can't, I think it's amazing value. My last order cost about £4 postage and I got a mousemat and keyring with a photo of my son (gifts for Fathers day), a mug with photo for my mother-in-law, and a canvas bag for myself. So 4 really nice items for £4, bargain!!

I'll try to add some of the links I've just been sent. The email says they run out tomorrow.

Morning all, had a good day yesterday, made myself a new top with some fabric I bought at the weekend. Really pleased with it, cost me less than a tenner so very MSE, going to wear it next month when we go out for my birthday dinner. Have two more to make up but they will have to wait as going to my son's today and then OH is off tomorrow and Thursday, might get a bit done Friday morning though.

Have a bit of fabric left over so thinking of making up a little skirt for grand daughter out of it. Need to get something nice and soft to go underneath as its a see through fabric. I have a vest top which will go under my top. Will have a look in charity shops and see if there's a nighty or slip I can buy to use.

car is DH domain hes out there washing it every week (even in the rain:rotfl:) i doubt anything would ever be found out of place in there he keeps it more clutter free than i keep the house :o. we did find someone's nectar card in it the other week not sure whose its a firms vehicle so gets borrowed sometimes in the day.

thrown all the junk out of the medicine cabinet and updated the plasters etc

working on a baby cardi for a work colleague who's just gone on maternity leave and doing a cross stitch for eldest DS bedroom.
also sanding down the paintwork in the hall as it needs glossing before the floor is tiled.

    Hello all :j

mum2one - re challenge..........car is OH's responsibility and is in permanent state of chaos................lol Have ''suggested'' clear out (polite way of nagging.........lol) but him and his mate have set too and knocked down the old rotten back porch instead...........so now there's a load of rubbish in the garden to sort through............most of it is rubbish but there's a few bits I want to keep.
Very cold out there this afternoon so maybe tomorrow.............all the other rooms have been de-cluttered though so pretty good for me..........:T

Instead I sat and made a button necklace for me...............lol :)

    Hope you're all ok:)
