Can't help with the sex life........ think forget what it is!! but we can def get you money savvy -
Slim - diet - there words that should exist in my vocabulary, but unfortunatelty they sound like swear words...... If my GP had his way, I'd lose 10 stone, my nice GP he'd settle for 7 stone..... me at the mo Id settle for 7 lbs.... I wouldn't mind lost 12kg earlier in the yr with not trying but its a stand still.
guess it will be new years resolution - for the ????? th yr running!! xx

I would just like to point out to all that there isn't anything wrong with my sex life - but if I was healthier and slimmer I might feel more sexier and thus have more of a "life".

My friend has been referred to the gym by her GP, so I have promised I will go with her. She is pretty good at sticking to whatever she decides and has lost over half a stone (with 2st to go) on the new Weight Watchers diet. For me diets just don't work fast enough!!!! I am going back on the cambridge. Its not MSE or OS but its fast.

  • Just back from Mr S - no gift boxes left at all

Lots of cards on sale for around 89p per pack so bought 3 packs of 1 x 25 and 2x 15 cards, a card holder for 29p, an advent stocking gardland for reduced from £5.99 to £1.79. It is little red material/felt stocking with numbers on so will be nice and christmassy for next year. What else lots of wrapping paper and decorations reduced by 70% but I really don't need anymore of these so bought a garland for the tree in purple jewel colours for 89p reduced from £2.99. Also bought a pack of linen feel napkins and tablecloth reduced by 50% in cream for next Christmas and tore myself away from a tea light candle bridge reduced from £12.99 by 70% - mght give into these for me and mum for next year if they have any left - will see.

Also bought brother a set of Bull Dog Toilettries for his birthday in July reduced from £12 to £6 for 3 and in store they are on offer 2 for £6 - meaning the gift set was worth it this time round.

Then called into homebase to look for bulbs for my new lamp - can't find any that fit and came out with a lovely winter planter for £1.99 reduced from £9.99 and some bulbs to plant up reduced from £5 to £1.25 and bought some for me and mum.

The Tiffany lamp is going to be sent back after can't find a bulb to fit and the bulbs I bought fitted into (well 1 did and the other fitting is broken) and then the bulbs don't let the shade fit on. Well it is broken after all. A shame but I'm sure another one will turn up somehow

Sleety weather here today and my sinus cold has come back with a vengence - stocked up on meds in Mr S and might nip out into the garden to plant up some bulbs in pots and the new ones, will see how I feel. Otherwise will sit here eating choccies and biscuits all afternoon!

Fedup - I bought my bulbs two in a pack for £2 from Tesco, but if the fitting is broken send the lamp back anyway.Didn't you find any earrings you liked?

I opened my Sealed pot for January sales yesterday (as I was going bargain shopping) and to say I only added coppers and the silver in there, there was a whopping £115 that I took with me and another fiver or so went in DD2's money box. So everything I have bought so far in the sales has been completely Money Neutral and I still have some left.

Starting it again today, so when I come home from shopping or anything, any coins worth less than 50p goes in my money box. I also have a terramundi box on the go. I'm saving for when I go to Rome in 18 months time for my sisters 40th (I went to Morocco for mine!) I add a tenner here and there for that, when I'm feeling well off - it doesn't happen too often, but there must be £200+ in the last 12 months.

Right, got to go - we're off bowling now and to Mcdonalds for lunch. Hopefully I'll be able to pop around some more shops and pick up a few more bargains.

First bargain of the year , a pirate costume reduced from £24.99 to £5.99 in Argos. (Well it will be a bargain if it fits) So have to pick that up today. My mum also wants me to look out for half price Jammas for her too. And Will look for any ideas for family/friends gifts throughout the year x

    What was your best present?

The baby gave me a set of three sessions at a flotation tank - peace and quiet just for me :D

The best gift I gave was from the baby to DH. She gave him bagpipes and he loves them. And even better, it's an incentive to get me more flotation tank sessions because he's only allowed to play them when I'm out :rotfl:

The best non-material thing was watching DH and DD playing with their musical instruments and being so happy. Music is their thing they do together and my heart grew three sizes watching them.

What would you do different next Christmas?

Stress less, ice the cakes earlier and give fewer things to my parents/brother. I got them loads of things but next year there'll be two or three nice things per person and that's it.

Also, I sent my mother/brother's birthday gifts back with my parents and my brother opened his a month early *rolls eyes*

What was the funniest / daftest thing of the day?

The tree's been behind defences made out of chairs to keep the baby away from it since it went up and the defences came down after she was in bed on Christmas Eve. Once she realised she could get to the tree she kept walking up to it, almost touching it and looking over her shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

If you were granted three wishes what would they be?
    1. Health for DH
    2. A new, bigger place to live
    3. A happy, healthy, organised 2011 and beyond

I opened my Sealed pot for January sales yesterday

Sealed pot started for me and my new boots - thanks to everyone for pointing this saving method out :j

Earrings - didn't walk up as felt too poorly with this cold so will have a look at the weekend if the shop is open or later on this week

Found a pair on QVC but now sure if they are thin and flimsy or sturdy and good? Would like to have a look in person to see what they are like

I'm going to write down exactly what I've bought for next christmas and birthdays, the cost and where it is stored so I can find everything next year after this year losing stuff and no idea where they are kept!

    Afternoon everyone

Lots more lovely newbies I see which is brilliant.

We had a nice day with the family yesterday, got there late due to traffic but was nice once we arrived. Everyone loved their home made presents so I was happy about that.

Off out tomorrow to spend our Christmas money and vouchers that we got so hoping there are still some bargains left.

Having our Christmas dinner this afternoon now OH is off work for a couple of days.

Update to my best Christmas present, so far it has been a set of practically every Johnny Depp film on dvd that I havent already got. Cant wait to start watching them.

Off to help OH with the dinner, Rufus xx

    Hello All,

Natasha is tired, hot and grumpy...... and if she has a flu, probably sore too. I'm keeping her temp down with calpol and nurofen. Mum came down to watch her for me, so I could get to Mr Ts and get more calpol and nurofen and some other bits and bobs. I got her Tinkerbell, as the hints to family never came off, so i just bought it for her. She is snuggled in here with me, and watching it, i hope she goes to sleep.

I have joined the sealed pot challenge and will put change in, and also anymore I make if I bake cupcakes for work :)

Im doing the sales on Wed, i only want one thing for me, a dressing gown out of Dorothy Ps and a purse for my friend out of Fossil.

Natasha just fell asleep next to me, ahhh bless :) give her 15min then i will clean up, place looks like a bomb has went off.

Hope you are all well x
