Hello to all the new ladies.
I really enjoy reading everyone's results from the latest challenge.
Mum2one, I'm blaming you LOL as I can hardly get off the computer trying to catch up on our 2 threads, they're busy.
I'm going to restart saving up £2 coins - they were very useful last week as I ran out of cash and couldn't get to the bank.
Anyone going to join me on a £2 challenge on here?0 -

Hi Tracey
If your in the mood for decluttering, theres a cup of tea or coffee, could even push the boat out for a bottle of wine.... I just realised tonight that if I didn't know my bedroom carpet was pink - have no chance!!
Just done my online xmas shopping - so pround of myself, would have previously gone mad and chucked everything in trolley - then dealt with the finances eventually and find room for storage.

Morning All,
My ex is coming to pick up the kids soon as he's having them for a couple of days. I'm planning on hitting the shops! Cant believe that I'm heading out with the aim of picking up xmas pressies 2 days after xmas - it seems utterly mad!!! MUM2ONE's post made think I could pick up a couple of bits like that and split them up for various gift baskets next year. Wrapping and tags on the list also, though not cards as I ordered loads of the kids ones through school and then thanks to the swine flu I never got any written so have plenty ready for next year.
Will post later and let you know if I've managed to pick up any bargains.
Have a good day all,

morning everyone and welcome to all the newbies to the thread - the thread really helps with planning and moneysaving too - have fun!
I've put some money into my 'sealed pot' bagpuss purse I keep vouchers in for collection for the year. I will save up for the boots, can't wait! Need to do something similar for the gas and electric bills too as I reckon they're going to be high this year with all this cold weatherfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi there.
I'll be subscribing to this, and popping on throughout 2011 - just managed to get debt free in 2010, and now that the immediate struggle is off, I'm re-focussing what I do on mse, and make sure I have more fun! Doing it as cheaply as possible, and preserving quality, also seemed like a good idea, so I'll be taking part - not anticipating I'll set the creative world on fire, but I'm game for a go2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
If anybody is thinking of putting together a stationery hamper for anybody next year stamps are still reduced in Superdrug until next week and Lidl have stationery on offer as from today

Some of it is ideal for cardmakers or arty folks
If I can get my backside out of bed, I might have to go for a wander - in my case, the envelopes for when I'm made redundant (which is 99% certain sometime in the next 12 months) and have to send lots of applications out.
Also, was talking to my sister yesterday, who is very "crafty" and what she does for Christmas is make 20 cards of 10 different designs and her hubby sells them in the school he works at. I know that's not to work for everybody, but I thought that if I could do a similar thing, by making a batch of the same cards, once a month until October, then find somewhere to sell them during November.0 -
