How can I find out who my neighbours are and if they own their property?

I guess I should also mention that I don't have a car nor a right to park, which some might think is stupid as I have a 3 double bed apartment, but I can afford a 100% loss. But before all you smart asses out there start saying I can give you the money, I still want to have an apartment!
Can I have the detached house you want to do up then, as you want to keep the apartment?Secondly, a moderator needs to send some warnings to some posters on this thread as there are blatantly posters trolling.
Starting with people that find criminal activity humerous?0 -
I have had the same problem in the past. However, people just dont seem to listen.
As I owned the parking area (outside my business), people just thought it was easier to park there instead of using the pay and display over the road when shopping
Two three tonne concrete blocks neatly placed by a digger in the entrance and a few people who had to do without without their car for the remainder of that day did rapidly sort the situation.
It was interesting though that the main perpetrators of the illegal parking were driving motors in excess of 20-30k.
As for the poster dilemma, if you have right to aparking space then you have good reason to enforce your right, however I would consider it quite difficult with how our current system of judgement stands0 -
Don't know why people are kicking off.
I live in a rented apartment block in the city centre. There are 48 apartments and 48 parking spaces. My parking space was not automatically allocated to me because I am a tenant there, it is an optional extra at £30 a month. Most people in my block do not have cars so the landlord rents them to external people. There could be a similar situation at the OPs address.0 -
isn't this what residents associations are for? might be a nice way to try and find a solution for everyone..... which would make more sense than getting all the neighbours' backs up:happyhear0

Your situation is totally different to the OP. He isn't saying there are shoppers in the car park or people from other streets parking there. He is saying that he is happy for owner-occupiers to park, but not tenants.0 -
I just thought I'd catch up with this thread...I have had the same problem in the past. However, people just dont seem to listen.

We have parking wars at our work place. It's quite amusing really... our business neighbours shouldn't have rented such a small place where there isn't enough car spaces.
I could tell you some very funny stories about it all...
Ok I will... they are a technical company, and decided to install a satellite dish half way up the building. A few hours after it was installed, we had a high sided lorry deliver something - and it blocked the satellite dish. They asked us to move the lorry... we declined of course, we do get 10s of deliveries/collections per day and have been for 20+ years.
No thanks when the warehouse boys cleared all the snow in the business estate (we are the biggest company there) for all the units either..
Woah, went off on a tangent then!0 -

be thankful you don't live where I do. I parked outside a neighbours house (on a terraced street where anyone can park anywhere) as there was a car with its back window smashed and glass everywhere outside my own house. After a discussion with the neighbour which ended 'well maybe your car will be the next one damaged' from him I ended up with 2 of my tyres slashed!!0
