How can I find out who my neighbours are and if they own their property?

Put a little note on all the cars explaining the situation. Make sure you include your flat number and car reg number, as I'm sure your neighbours will want to thank you for clarifying things.0

They rent - hang them for being scummy! How dare they have cars and want to park near where they live!
I hate people judging others as lesser because they dare rent a house - I live in a street where parking can be crud at times. We generally (apart from the new muppets who've bought number 11 and their bajillion and one workmen - grrr) work around it with these rare things known as discussion and consideration - you know, the "oh I'm sorry my lad parked in front of yours last night, I'll get him to park down the end of the street from now on"... "I know x's lad's quite new at driving and struggling to get used to parking - I'll make sure I give him a little bit more room". We all knew when we bought/signed tenancies here that the parking wasn't the greatest (heck I came round three or four times at different times of day to make sure I knew fully how bad it was when everyone was home) - it's no shocking revelation.
Basically you're naffed off because you can't have the entire carpark to yourself because those who rent DARE want to park by their properties as well.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
There's a lot of anger in this thread...
I don't see the problem in finding out facts, and then making a decision what to do - although in this situation I doubt anything could/should be done.0 -
OP I'm guessing you can't use your space because tenants probably haven't had it explained to them how the parking works, or they don't care and this could be owners or tenants.
If you have a numbered parking spot then put a note on the cars parking there saying that it is your designated spot and you would appreciate being able to use it - be polite!
If the problems continue you could look at a getting a parking post that locks. Most work by restricting the ablility to drive into the spot, so if your parking is in a block an upset neighbour could just drive into the side, so blocking lots of spaces. Also it may not be allowed by the management company of the flats.
What enquiries have you made already?
Have you contacted the management company?
Have you spoken to any of the neighbours?0 -
You are off your head...calm down and get on with your life..its too short for things like this..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
As there are eight addresses you need information on, I suggest you give the Land Registry a ring (you can find details of your local office on their website).
You might be able to find out the information you want via the Land Registry website and pay by debit card or you can fill in the paper forms and send them in to the Land Registry with your cheque.
First of all, you need Form SIM. I think you will need one SIM form and one fee payable per property.
The Land Registry process this and reply with the Title numbers. Then you need to apply for Official Copies of the Register and Title Plan. You need the title plan because the dispute relates to car parking spaces so you will need to be able to see the plans also.
When the Land Registry reply with the Title Numbers I am pretty sure that they indicate which are the Freehold and which are the Leasehold Title Numbers and you will probably find you need to apply for both to get a true reflection of the position. Certainly in either the Leasehold or Freehold title, you can expect to see reference to the Lease and you should be able to get a copy of this from the Land Registry - fee payable.
I suggest you speak to the Land Registry - 8 x all of the above information is going to cost quite a bit so think you should chat with the Land Registry first - may be even visit your local office if it is close enough.
Just go on the website (see my earlier post) and download the Titles and/or Plans for each address!0 -
i wonder what knowing the names of the owners of the flats will tell you.. unless you know the names of all residents of all 8 addresses and even then you will not know if the terms of the lease they have allow them to park there. Is the carpark managed?? If it possible to introduce some sort of residents parking senario. Or is it that you just don't like some/all of these 8 residents parking it the comunal carpark?MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Choose to live in an overcrowded cesspit then this is the price you pay. If you don't want parking issues, don't live in London or any other major city except on the outskirts.
I don't have parking issues and I live in a city. It's not an 'overcrowded cesspit' either. I suppose you live on a farm, talk to sheep and ride a tractor?Dont really think your in a strong position to lecture.
Don't think you are either0
