  • I have just phoned customer services to be told that the ruling has changed. Up to the stores discretion now as this system is being totally abused. Said he was sorry that I'd been embarrassed but they were quite within their right. So that's it for me.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

    I think that we just keep trying our luck!

    at my Tesco's sometimes they take them and sometimes they don't!

    I just ask "will any of these scan through please"

    and the lovely young people on the till are usually very obliging ;)

    cor where did you find the £5 voucher Alison? can't wait!

    xx

    I used vouchers in my local Tescos (Sheffield) for products I hadn't bought, in fact one of the wouldn't scan, typically the highest value one and the young lad on checkout (bless him) just ajusted the total manually. I then got a 5p off per litre voucher for use at the petrol station. I put 3ol of fuel in (well it's £1.50) but the operator got confused & though I'd put 78L in (78.9p per litre so I think he got the 78 from that) and proceeded to give me £3.50 off....how pleased was I!!!

    Yup - stores discretion. Been like that for a while (SE England).

    Redeemed 2 finish e-vouchers yesterday at local tescos. The young trendy bejewellered male eyed them suspiciously at first, asked if I bought any of these items, when I said no I didn't, he said he couldn't do it. I asked him if he could try please as some tesco stores accept them, he ran them through, the till froze, ran them through again, and the 2 finish vouchers went through. The third, bona fide coupon out of a magazine for 50 pence of a bottle of harvey sherry would not go through, maybe because they did not stock it. Still was very happy, this is the first time I tried this, £1.05 off the £5.00 shopping bill, hoOray!

    Thank you all ::)

    Not as yet. Den is a busy boy - so will have to just hang but feel free to email me just for the £5 off voucher - the document is too big to email now. Thanks.

    please don't pm me your email as it takes a while to get the addresses to my email account. cheers ;D. An email is dead easy as I just do an automatic return.

    Happy Shopping!!! :D
