Thanks, Den. Could I ask one more favour? Could you please put the bar-coded side of the Mattessons voucher on?

Ok, being a voucher virgin, I need to ask a stupid question.

When you print out the sheet of vouchers, do you need to resize them?  They are printing out 6"x4", is that ok?

Off to Tesco today.....(it's my first time  ;) , wish me luck!)  ;D

Edit: Forgot to say thank you.

    [move]Thank you ;D [/move]

just a word about heading for 'the youngest dumbest checkout assistant' - i'm not a checkout assistant myself, but i do work in a fast food restaurant where many customers assume that the staff are dumb and can't find work anywhere more pleasant.

you'll find that most young people working in these jobs are students, and even the older ones are at uni (or mums with childcare issues). we're not dumb, we just choose jobs that accept students likely to spend a maximum of 4 years in the town. flexibility to choose the hours you're available is only usually found in supermarkets and fast food resaurants. me, i only work there because they allow me to work 10-3 during term time, and not work at all over the school holidays, so i don't have to use childcare. students work there because they can choose shifts where they don't have lectures and have the flexibility to go home in the holidays and still have a job to come back to.

we're not dumb, but most of us are the kind of people who'd use vouchers ourselves, and just don't care if people take advantage of the system. we know how the voucher system works, and know if there's any way we will be singled out as a person who takes more than 10 percent, etc.

the middle aged women are different because they are looking at working in the same job for the rest of their working lives and don't want to jeapardise their jobs. they also see customers as an incovenience, and get very grumpy about people 'taking advantage'.

anyway, just wanted to point that out - the 'dumb' people are actually at uni, and aren't dumb at all, they just don't care enough about company profits.

Well my last question must have been a daft one as no-one answered. ;)

For anyone else who wondered the same .......surely I'm not the only one ........ (am I ???) - the size didn't seem to be an issue at all. I bought 4 t-shirts and a multi pack of pj's for my daughter which were in the sale. I used the vouchers I had and only had to pay 5p.

    Now that's moneysaving! ;D

    Hi all, first time poster.
I visited my local Tesco yesterday armed with approx. £7 of internet vouchers. I headed for a checkout with a young male assistant assuming he'd be easy game ;)
As I was queuing, a mature lady replaced him and I assumed I'd get some stick or attempting to use the vouchers - but if you don't try you'll never know so I gave it a go anyway.
Most of the vouchers wouldn't scan, but the checkout lady typed everything through (to the disgust of the ever-growing queue behind me). She told me she uses internet vouchers all the time and was keen to know where I had found so many from.
Thanks guys, £7 off my shop is a great help!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
