No matter how clear the barcode is, Tesco are no longer accepting the Durex coupon. It has been blacklisted by their system - i.e. the barcode is recognised (either by scanning or manual input) and the coupon is rejected.

(The only exception is where kind check out ops are entering the coupon as "ns" - but this won't last long)

Asda still accepting all vouchers including durex. ;D ;D ;D

Only colgate scans through all others have to be put through as non-scan. Getting used to waiting patiently and trying not to look too embarrassed. :-[ :-[

    Saved £5 last week and £6 this week. What a great feeling! ;D ;D ;D ;D
    Nice to save.

I had printed off my vouchers and was ready to throw them away as I asked at Asda and Tesco customer service before presenting and they both said no. After reading this thread I just phoned both stores and they both no say they do, so its just a matter of standing your ground.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
  • Went to Tesco yesterday - big disappointment - they tried and tried with the Durex voucher, but after having "escalated" it with management, they came back and advised me that the bar code is not correct for the voucher - this is one I downloaded probably a couple of months ago from this site, and have used no problem until Friday.

We need to find out the correct bar code for the voucher - any ideas?

Bit humiliated today in Sainsburys. They refused all the vouchers (even the Colgate one which I actually bought!). Felt really guilty. Will they think I'm a fraudster next time I go there??? :-[
  • The colgate one has expired!

Just to let you know all my vouchers were accepted for a saving of £9.40

After a couple of attempts at scanning it and keying it in, the cashier decided to add them all up together and pass them all through as one amount which had the message NS next to it on the till receipt. I guess NS stands for Non status.

The next time I go in, I might use the tack of saying they don't all scan and it is a lot quicker to put them all through in one go.

I went to Tesco today and used the Colgate voucher on a self scan till without problem. Came home and printed off another then realised it has expired. Perhaps the self scan tills don't recognise when a voucher is out of date ???
I feel bad about using an out of date voucher. The retailers have to the end of October to get their money back, so perhaps it will be ok.
