I have only been the once, a few years ago and it wasn't anywhere nearly as bad as I expected. We turned up about 20 mins after doors opened expecting huge queues to get in but there was no one outside. It was really busy inside but not so bad that you couldn't move.

I am debating whether to go tomorrow or not, not because I'm bothered about the queues but the time puts me off. I know if I can get up for it I will get some great bargains though and I love a bargain! ;)

    Not Again
  • A lot of people keep on saying this, but it is entirely untrue.

The only reason they are not seen is that some of the larger stores stock them, and they are not ranged to every store.

Therefore when they get ranged to smaller stores, people claim that they are shipped in just for the sale.
  • is it just my thinking or unless you are going for something major in the store and have been after it for ages, i dont see how people can get that much clothes at the front of the queue before other people get in the shops. What a lovely buzz it is going to the sale though!

Does anyone know if there's a way to access the normal Next website at the moment please?
My son was given some Ben 10 pj's but they are too small and I want to find out if they are in the sale now or not but searching ben 10 only comes up with two results, so either the pj's were in the sale and have sold out or they weren't in the sale at all but I can't access any full price items at the moment!
If they are in the sale, I'm going to have to go in early tomorrow to try and get him the right size as he's loves them!!
  • i always get there around 45mins before it opens so tomorrow i will be in the que at 4.15  i do get a lot of outfits for my 2 girls and when they have outgrown them i sell them on ebay and nearly get the price i have paid thats how i justify going to the sales :)

I should have added that I go mainly for gifts, wrapping paper, cards and may pick up a few pieces of clothing. When we went a few years ago we headed straight to the M&S sale afterwards, which started at 6am I believe, I got so many bargains that year for birthdays and Christmas the following year.
  • omg not a chance! lol.
i'll pop in in the afternoon...

done the 5am queues a few times,it used to be worth it not now...heard from a friend who works there that they put out the barrels of less popular stuff first(politley put for the crappy stuff)....the frenzied bargain hunters grab anything with a sale tag on it...Next is not what it was...was in our local today and there is definatley stuff that i have never seen instore in the sale...so the comment they make stuff for the sale is probably correct(they make special buys for the outlet stores so why not!!)..happily never spent a penny in it..
