I think it is. When I started work at 8am (in a supermarket opposite the Next store) on the same day as the previous Next sale, there were women coming in with two-three full to the brim bags of Next clothing! Madness!
I wouldn't risk it. In my hometown, Leicester, they start queuing the night before to get in the doors at 5 am!Competition Wins:

I went last year and really enjoyed myself! You'd have to get there earlier than 5am, though, as people will be queuing a lot earlier. You want to be one of the first few in, or it kind of defeats the point of going so early. Or have a friend at the front of the queue

I got my stuff in the VIP sale this year, but I'll still have a look tomorrow...after 9am though!0 -
If it starts at 5am then what time do people start queuing? Apart from the night before.Debt free
2010 £11000/£9000
2011 £509 so far0 -
I wouldn't be surprised if they start camping out from midnight or 1am onwards.Competition Wins:

It's ridiculous. Do people go a lot for kids clothes? I wouldn't know as I don't have kids but that's what a lot of people on here talk about buying.
I'd only do something like that if I knew there was going to be a considerable amount of stuff I needed with at least 50% off! Or I was drunk after going out on boxing day and was strolling home at 3am to spot a next queue

Next Sale opened this morning here in Edinburgh... I went not long after 7am when it opened, and I thought it was awful. I didn't recognise most of the clothes they had on display as being in the shop previously. I normally come away with loads, but not today. I did get a couple of homeware bargains, but in retrospect, it was nothing worth getting up early for. My advice would be stay in bed.0

Noooo! Thats crazy!
I dont think Ill bother to be honest, the kids have plenty and I dont *need* anything so it will be spending for the sake of it. It wouldnt be worth getting up at daft o clock if your not gonnna spend spend spend is it?!?
Might pop in later on though, see if there is anything left.0 -
Im getting picked up at 6am to go, we arent going to the local one but are going to one about 20mins away as its a huge store0

I've been early once. I got there for 6am and it wasn't that busy. I think I didn't buy a thing on that occassion. Most Next sales aren't worth it. I have to say that looking at the preview this one seemed better but I didn't get a VIP invite this time and couldn't be bothered to queue/join a scrum.0

I have heard that Next manufacture clothes just for the sales ... so another reason for me to not queue and scrum at that time in the morning!Competition Wins:
