Bed, board, council tax, for £100 amonth ? I'll move in for £200 (and the sex will be better).

Does he think you're his mum with 'benefits' ?!
I'd tell him where to get off. You're supposed to be his princess, not his keeper. Sounds like a complete waste of space to me.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Agree with the rest. Dump him. He is not mature enough to rent or own a place - he has to leach off Mum or a GF. As paddy'smum says, don't get pregnant by him. You need a partner not a dependant.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Do you really want to spend the rest of your life (or even a few more months) with someone who has so little respect for you?
You need to work out the extra costs of having him living with you - loss of single person's council tax, extra food and utility bills, and ask him to pay his share. Depending where you live, £100 probably only covers the extra council tax bill - if he doesn't want to contribute towards the other living expenses, can you tell him that the meals (shopping and cooking) are his responsibility, and balance things out that way?I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
How old is he, out of interest?
Oh, and by the way, reading through your other thread doesn't suggest you get on with his mum that well anyway. If you can't agree on these important issues 6 months in - then you'll never agree on the massive issues years down the line.0 -
The estate agent suggested £450pcm as it covers everything but other people on my road charge between £600 - £750pcm so whatI am asking for is very cheap. (I live in Didsbury in Manchester)
And yes you are right this is a money saving fourm and this is what I am asking for money saving advise. As I said my bills have more than doubled and renting a room offically seems the best step forward for me as I don't want to fall behind with my morgage payments which I can see happening if I don't get this sorted out soon.
As for the 4 showers a day, he showers that often as he is a Boot Camp Trainer and he comes here after each class to shower and change. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -

£80 per week for a room.0 -
I eco the comments above, however you also need to consider if you accepted a contribution (what ever that might be) then he may see that he is entitled to half the living accommodation.. what I mean is he may start to invite friends round, etc etc and treat it as his place, rather than what it is - staying with you.
Although you should upgrade to a new bf. lol.0 -

£450 per calendar month is very reasonable in Didsbury if it includes all utility bills and council tax. My friend was charging that much for a room in a tiny flat on the edge of Wythenshaw 6 years ago (not far from Didsbury but not nearly such a nice area by any means)I'm a retired employment solicitor.
