Sorry to be a bah Humbug, but I will NEVER use Amazon Prime. I had a trial, almost everything took longer, couriers couldn't find the place, had to drive miles to pick up when not in. Or Post Office, know where we live, only a couple of days, and a short hop to the village post office if I'm not in.

Amazon Prime may be free at he moment, but it isn't worth it

Sorry, I wasn't sure where to post this, but as it's regarding Amazon delivery in general thought it would be ok.

I ordered 4 items last week and 3 of them have come by RM, but one (just a CD) is coming by Chronopost? I've tracked it online and it's been to france and is now in Belgium apparently. This item said it was 'sold through Amazon UK', so I'm really confused as to why it's in another country? :rotfl:

Any one know about this? I thought all smaller orders came via RM/

Fair dues to Amazon - well, to City Link, actually. Amazon deserve very little credit.

Despite a three year membership of Prime, Amazon failed to despatch 3 out of 4 items ordered on 22 December until 23 December (yesterday). Two of those were sent City Link and they're now out for delivery today. The other was sent Royal Mail Special delivery, so who knows when that will arrive, given the mess they're in.

The other order made yesterday was despatched yesterday - but just by ordinary Royal Mail - with an estimated delivery date of 5 January!

We haven't been having our post delivered for a couple of days so we went to the local postal sorting office yesterday and they had quite a few parcels there as well as the usual cards and bills. Anyone who is still waiting for deliveries might want to go and see if there items are being held as well ( and yes a couple of the parcels were from Amazon

I placed an order 17th Dec, paid £7.00 for expedited service, should have arrived 21st based on the option I picked and paid for at checkout clearly stating 1 day delivery and that was allowing them a day to despatch!

22nd, I call them to complain about paying £7 for 2 light items that would fit through my letterbox that have not been sent on next day service. I got the p&p refunded, one item came yesterday... sticker with a 1st class service

They really take the pee charging £7 and not offering a speedier service, I could have chosen 1st class for £2 odd!

They split my order so I'm still waiting for one thing, if it doesn't arrive today I am going to have to go out and find a replacement present :(

    well it would be
    25,26,27,28 non service
    29,30,31 service days
1,2,3,4(4th for Scotland) non service days
    5th service day

Isn't that amazingly bad, even by Royal Mail's low standards?
