This reminds me of the time some years ago now, the sales assistant from our local jewellers rang to say that the alterations to the ring that my (now ex-) husband had bought were complete and the ring was ready for collection.

That spoiled things somewhat for him too, especially as it turned out the ring was not intended for me...................;)

I was thinking the same thing when I originally read the OP. I just came back to check if he got the guitar! So glad he did :T
