It may have been a prank call set up by your other half, she may have gotten a friend or work colleague to call you, to wind you up. You might just get socks.

    I seriously doubt it.

Well I was thinking with the song that she doesn't actually know that I can't play it, just that she has never heard me play it. I'm a little shy when it comes to playing guitar in front of her, so she doesn't know everything I can play.[/QUOTE]

I think it's a great idea, I remember when my husband first played one of my favourite pieces of music for me ( Bach Cello Suite No 1). I had no idea he knew it and it was a wonderful moment :D

Does she like art? I have some beautifull artwork around my house given to me at different times by friends and relatives. It meant so much to me when I recieved them and still does, something that is subtly always there and can be enjoyed.

She likes photographic art. I've bought a few bits for her down the years. I was thinking the wolf photo art would be a good idea because she really loves wolves.

I gave the jewellers in town a call and they do have some sapphire encrusted photo frames in stock, so I'll pop in this afternoon and take a look. Just need to find a nice image to go with it. :)

Does it need to be a photograph in the frame? If you're going for thoughtful and sentimental you could write all the things you love about her and frame that.

Google Peter Lik and check out some of his photos, they are pretty stunning.

    Very expensive though

Showing my age but that really made me snigger!

Maybe you could buy the photo frame and then book a couples photoshoot and put the gift voucher inside the frame, Then replace the voucher with the best photo of your together once they are printed up?

I think the picture frame and wolf pic sound naff (sorry!), you're spending money just to make it up to the required amount.

    What about a wolf-watching holiday:

    or adopt one?

You may even be able to find an organisation that will let you visit your adopted wolf
