I have done my annual sales pilgrimage today and as ever I'm very pleased with my purchases!
I have brought most of my christmas presents, cards and wrapping paper today and spent the grand total of £7.53 :j. I used up most of my vouchers that I have earned from survey sites over the year. I hope that you have all been able to find some fab bargains in the sales too.
Hope you are all enjoying the festive break - will be back in a couple of days to do my monthly update.

Hi everyone
I hope you are all well and have been enjoying the Easter Break. I got married last week and not long been back of honeymoon
. We had a fantastic time, back to the real world now!
Not much been happening except that I have now decided to cancel my regular over payment of £80 and set up another regular saver (8%) and divert all the money into that (plus the extra £100 I was spending on credit cards) and then when it matures do a lump sum overpayment to the mortgage along with the interest - I can't believe I didn't think of doing this sooner!!
I'm waiting for the next free listing day on ebay so that I can sell my wedding stuff - see if it generates anything but we would probably use this money towards a second honeymoon in the summer.
Still plodding my way through the surveys but not getting to complete many at the moment
I'm going to start reading the boards again to get some much needed motivation and inspiration as I feel I have fell of the wagon in a way due to the wedding!
Enjoy the rest of the holidays

Hi All
Wow where has the time gone?? I have completely neglected my diary
but not much going on due to work commitments etc. Still doing my surveys and have redeemed the following vouchers:-
VO - £50
T0luna - £15
MS - £20
YG - £50 (Saved towards Mortgage)
So I now have over £150 in vouchers to put towards xmas expenses.
We have had a new addition to the family (A border terrier called Alfie) So have had to adjust budgets etc to meet his initial costs! Gosh they are so expensive - I've spent more on his accessories & vets costs than I did buying him lol!!
I'm still saving £180 a month in the 8% FD Regular Saver and then this will be paid off the mortgage along with any interest that has been accrued when it matures next year.
Not sure what will happen next as we are thinking of selling up and moving to Wales. Hubby has just put his house (tenant moving out) on the market and has had a viewing after 2 days!! Still waiting for the feedback. Most of the equity we need is in hubbys house so we need to get that sold first before we can decide what to do as we have so many ideas - its very exciting.
Hope everyone is well - Take Care xxApril 2009: Mortgage £94749.00, Loan (Shortfall Mortgate)£10266.00. Total £105015.00August 2013: Mortgage £83700.00 :j:kisses2: Married my Super Sexy Hubby April 2012

Wow I can't believe it has been a year since I last posted!!
Anyway a quick update for you. We moved to Wales
we got a beautiful cottage in a lovely village - best thing we ever did and as we don't have to pay a mortgage we only have to work part time
.
My house is being rented for now so I am still paying my mortgage off. I stopped my overpayments for a while so that we could fund the move, but now I have a regular overpayment of £60 per month set up this makes my mortgage payment £500 and then the last couple of months I have being paying off the excess to make it a round figure. (eg This month I had £83768.44 outstanding so I paid off £68.44)
My balance is now £83700.00
I am still doing my surveys but I have fell off the band wagon big style with everything else to fund all of this so I am slowly trying to get back into my old ways.
I hope to make a more regular appearance and try not to neglect my diary so much in future (easier said than done, especially with my new found freedom!)
I look forward to catching up with you all

Congratulations on your move, I'm glad you're happy in your new home! Remember that the mortgage interest on your rented house quaifies for tax relief.0
