Just went through the standard site and its available there????? I registered ad proceeded to checkout and it applied all the same discounts and the hamper with next day del (although I don't expect it tomorrow) is £32, but when I confirm payment it freezes. Just holding to speak to an advisor to confirm if its ordered or not...................

Been told to check back in an hour to see if its gone out twice or not!!! I only want one .

I ordered a hamper the other week a deal of the day at half price also put the item and code in for free chocolates. Hamper arrived and no chocolates. Rang CS-waited ages to get through, spoke to a delightful man who checked with supervisor and then said due to adverse weather etc could I collect missing item in a store. Perfect.
Went to store, they have the same number we do on which to check-appalling since they get put on hold too so went away shopping and returned later as they suggested. Manager came out, very brusque etc and said woman on line called me a "liar" said I'd never ordered the chocolates free gift etc.
To say I was appalled etc would be the understatement of 2010. I demanded to speak to said person, said this situation and your dispicable customer service will be rectified NOW or I'll get in my car drive home return and dump the hamper on this desk and you WILL give me my money back so I can shop elsewhere.

Anyway I think I that made them back down and it ended up with the shop offering me any item I wanted.

Of course all emails to online customer service go unanswered but I'll continue ringing etc. The way they deal with people/orders/delays is just appalling probably the worst customer service I've seen in a long time. Thorntons used to be a high end store but now....................No things have definately changed but I want an apology from them and I'll keep om until I get one. Appalling.

Nearly got this v. early this morning, decided to be sensible, then dreamed about Thorntons hampers. That has to have been a sign, obviously!

Got free delivery (by mistake!) so I expect they'll arrive for New Year... or Easter.
