For those that ordered at the start of December how much did you pay? if you dont mind me asking.

I paid £48 for my hamper
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j
  • I only ordered online when their family hamper was on offer at half price, so £17.50 instead of £35, plus I used a code to get a large box of chocs for free, postage was £3.95 (i think) thats for standard delivery through Hermes. Who apparently also deliver up to 9pm at night according to CS at Thorntons, and are contracted to leave the parcel if noone is there. :(

Also note, if you do ring up cos your order hasn't arrived, as I did, don't even bother to suggest that you can pick it up in store. It's not company policy to collect online orders at a store apparently; and if I had a refund due to non-delivery, and then went to the store I would have to pay full price. So basically I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, either wait for god knows how long for my 'bargain buy' or spend £47 for what I got online for £17.50
Just bumbling along, trying to save some money
Couldn't do it without coming here every day ;)

THanks op have ordered dont really need it but will be a little extra treat for all of us, just hope its delievered on time for Christmas if not it will be a yummy treat to beat the January blues!!

Has anyone added up the cost of it if you brought it all seperatly? I would but my brain is still in bed atm need a bit more caffine first!!1

    Thanks again :)

That would be £108.11....been at work since 6.30am and not much on my desk atm...will be later though:)
  • Also, just looking at the price, I wonder if the original price is correct, £120 seems an awful lot for what you get. & I'm pretty sure it was £60 when I looked at it earlier in the week
It was the Festive delights hamper that was £60...winterwonderland was £120...tho it did appear at 1/2 price special offer for a wee while...fantastic find OP...pity its OOS,now..I wouldnt have minded when it was delivered at £30...the ACP8 just seems to be applying free delivery on orders now...hope Thorntons honour everyones price of £30...fantastic.

Hi, I just went onto the thorntons advent calendar and opened day 21.
it said the winter wonderland hamper was reduced to £60 from £120.
However, when i got to checkout a voucher code was automatically added taking it down a further 50% to only £30.
and I chose next day delivery which only cost £2 instead of £5.95

Fantastic bargain! hopefully will work for you all.

I will not be happy if they endeavour to deliver these before Christmas when my order from the 13th still isn't here. I spent £60 odd pounds on 2 hampers to split and hand out with bottles of wine as we decided not to do 'big gifts' this year for the family. I don't have any money left to go and buy more sweeties and I'm really unhappy they've offered this today when they expressly sent out emails yesterday saying they were struggling with orders already processed and due for transit. Very unprofessional.
