Thorntons winter wonderland hamper £32 next day delivery

I've just had a dispatch email for my delivery due to arrive on Christmas eve. No mention of any substitutions, so perhaps I will receive the Winter Wonderland hamper after all?
It's quite exciting waiting to see what arrives, and when!0 -
They can't replace a product with an rrp of £120 with £80 worth of overpriced chocolates and expect me still to be happy.
Oh for goodness sake !!
I'm sure that we all realised that the price drop to £30 for this hamper was a mistake.
I ordered fully realising that this was an error by their website designer. I ordered assuming that there was a fairly high chance that they would not honour the order (probably offering me some other product, but not upto the full £120 value), TBH I think we were all being somewhat cheeky to take advantage of this 'offer' at all.
I think sending out a substitution worth £80 is actually pretty good show, because they are still taking a loss on the deal. Financially they would be better off simply saying 'sorry, out of stock' and refunding your money.
I will be quite happy if my friends end up getting this substitution. Yep the christmassy stuff would have been nice for the kids, but they will still end up with some very nice chocolates, at a spiffing price.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -

Total paid 2017 year £15,300Total paid 2018 year £13,6000 -
My substitute order has just arrived, not the Chocoholics one as per the email I got yesterday, but 2 corporate chocolate hampers (according to the label on the outside of the box) Individually the items add up to around £40 each plus £7 each for the posh box they're in. Worth the £30 I paid for them but I wouldn't pay the full price. Seem to be good dates on the contents too.0

I used it too but didn't get a confirmation email off them but the money has gone out of my paypal account. No big problems here with the snow though. So your guess is as good as mine, I did email the email address thats on the paypal reciept but no reply yet.

They said there had been a problem on the website and my email address had not been available to them so I gave it and this evening, I got a dispatch email so fingers crossed for tommorrow!0
