Thorntons winter wonderland hamper £32 next day delivery

Spoke to customer services (after being on hold for 12 minutes) who said the hamper was due to be sent tonight! I said that it was due to be delivered today! She said that it wasn't next day delivery but 48 hour delivery as I'd only paid £2. I said that wasn't what it said online or on the copy of my order and why hadn't it been sent out last night!

Anyway, she said it would be delivered on Xmas Eve. That has meant that I've had to change the delivery address as I will not be at work on Xams Eve - I will only be at home until 11:20, so here's hoping!

My two substitute boxes have been delivered this morning. I'm amazed that Thorntons managed to get them here on time as my order status still says being processed.

It doesn't seem fair that people who ordered weeks ago are still waiting for their orders I only placed my order yesterday!

ive just called thorntons about my order placed on 27th November as has still not arrived and was meant to be a present for the teachers and the nursery closed this morning so is now too late to give them. they gave me a full refund and can keep the chocs when they come.
Nice of them to give me a refund as well as the chocs but god knows what they will turn up like!

I've just had a similar conversation. First of all CS said that it would be sent out tonight, then the girl changed her mind and said that it had already been despatched and would be delivered tomorrow hopefully. When I asked if it was the Winter Wonderland hamper which had been despatched, she said 'it looks like it', but I'm not convinced!
By the way, I used SayNoto0870 for an alternative number to the one on the website, there is a freephone number and a normal landline number on there.

I ordered the Winter Wonderland(RRP £120) at the discounted price, and have just been peremptorily emailed to say that they've dispatched something else with an RRP of £100.

I immediately emailed back, pointing out that I've been shortchanged, there was no consultation or choice offered, and asked for more to be added. I have received a reply refusing to do so.

What are my rights? Can I just email them to cancel the order? Will they insist on my paying for postage to return it? This is a nightmare. Thorntons have just shortchanged me, and don't seem to think that that's an issue.

Just received my order via DHL.
Great that it's arrived NEXT day like I ordered, not the winter wonderland hamper though, I got 2 Chocaholic hampers... I didn't get a note or email to say about the change of hampers.
not too fussed because i made a massive saving, and now i can give 2 hampers out.

I was widowed last year, and am on a VERY tight budget. I only bought it because it had the right mix of components that I could break up and give out. What they're offering is smaller, and doesn't have the same quantity of Continental Chocolates that the original had.

My substitute order has just arrived, not the Chocoholics one as per the email I got yesterday, but 2 corporate chocolate hampers (according to the label on the outside of the box) Individually the items add up to around £40 each plus £7 each for the posh box they're in. Worth the £30 I paid for them but I wouldn't pay the full price. Seem to be good dates on the contents too.
