Just enjoy your new car - some people are on here just to get their post count up rather than offer actual advice. Sad but true on most forums!
They aren't my cup of tea but I can see the attraction however0 -

The Diesel looks good on paper but im not sure if the petrol will give me more joy overall..
anyone any advice?
If buying new or nearly new I would go for the supercharged petrol V8, fit a good (£2.5/4K) gas conversion, at those level of power and refinements you won't notice the difference except that it's going to cost you less than any diesel version. Vogue or Sport it depends on who you are, "sedate" middle aged city/country gent or bling master.
Ps....get a full set of decent winter tyres as well, your Land Rover Dealer can advise....so that next time that we a have a spell of the white stuff nobody is going to take the pi$$ out of you because your sooperdooper-all=the-gear-no-r-deeah toy won't make it out of Waitrose's carpark.:DNobody is perfect, except me of course
Please note: my opinions are mine alone, nobody asked me to have them, obliged me to have them or even coerced me to have them, they are mine but they are free, so if you want to share them I will not charge you for it!

It will still be a year old come January the 1st, I would have waited until January to register it.
It will be recorded as a 2010 not a 2011.
Ahh right.. never mind.. no major problem im not going to be doing that many miles in it anyway(mind i already have done :j )"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

To be fair, the RR may have a bad rep for being the poster boy for green hate, but it's a damn good car.
Widely considered to be the best 4x4 on sale, and loads of reviews say it's better than most other luxury/executive cars. Just look at the scores it gets - Range Rover review
Just note that the depreciation is horrendous. You could get a 5 year old TDV6 for about £20k now. That's a scary price drop!0
