Pap - I will sponsor you for that - fil has dementia. If you can pm me on how I can pay you, I will send you some money.
Ps where is the walk held?
Aww bless you Dangers, I didn't post for sponsors, I was planning to do the cycle ride in Jordan next year but that needs a min of £3k sponsorship
Its Stonehenge to Avesbury past the White Horse and Silsbury Hill.0 -
I know you didn't post for sponsors, but I do want to sponsor you. Ouch to the £3k sponsorship for Jordan - that seems really steep to me. How many people actually enjoy going round their friends etc asking for sponsorship.0

NSD's Sat and Sun, today not so... £5.95 cinema (but I resisted the popcorn etc), £3.11 veg shop (strawberries, grapes and apples) and 46p in coop (for some sesame snaps, I thought we might have had lunch out)

Hi, PAP,
Have just had a Time Out London newsletter and thought of you! Have a look here for the Time Out list of cheap eats. (Some cheaper than others!) http://www.timeout.com/london/feature/997/londons-best-cheap-eats?DCMP=EMC-London-2011-04-07
It might be worth your while signing-up for their newsletter before you come down. They often have details of free/cheap things to do.0 -

This month I plan to try and get some discounted London Zoo tickets as Mum has expressed that we MUST go to London Zoo :rotfl: Shame she didn't tell me this when all the cheap ones were listed on ebay  Laterooms has some better theatre tickets than the ones I origanlly saw but I don't know how late to leave it as I guess they post the tickets to you
Not long now!
Oh as you are here, have you ever been to All Star Lanes and is it worth the £9pp?
Many thanks again :A0 -

Hi,
Sorry, can't help re All Star Lanes. (Had to Google to find out what it was!!)
London Zoo is on the "2 for 1" offer, if that helps. http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/2for1-london
You each need to have a valid rail ticket for the day you visit(see http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/faq.aspx#1 ) but could get those for as little as £2.20 each (eg, singles from Waterloo to Charing Cross or vice versa), which would still give a good saving. (You don't need to use the rail ticket. In fact, if you did use it, it would normally be "swallowed" by the automatic ticket barriers we have down here!)0 -
Many thanks greyfox :j I was only thinking about allstar for the novelty factor. I may hunt out a cheaper 'normal' bowling alley. I did think about the train tickets but I didn't think I could use it for a single one stop hop, even better, thankyou
Out of interest can I get them in station (kings cross for example) or would it be worth getting them in advance delivered to home?
My usual diary stuff below
So Fri and Sat were NSD however today I caved on something naughty... I spent £19.99 on a new phone (different provider) and £10 on credit (required) = £29.99
So here is the story because as you know I hardly ever top up my phone so getting a new one maybe stupid so here goes... I wanted an iphone many moons ago but decided against it due to price, last year I was one click away from ordering the new one as its been the best yet but they were out of stock. Now someone got a HTC in work this year and I was tempted I thought it would save taking my lappy to London (need internet because of fat club) but at £25 a month I couldn't do it. But payg was £150
Roll on the 21st and on the grabbit I saw an android (same software as htc) phone for £29.99 + £10 top-up in black or pink and I was tempted to get a black one but after buying my lappy I couldn't justify it. But yesterday it was reduced to £19.99 (plus top-up) but only in pink, but you get 6month free capped internet (worth £20) and 100mins talk time (worth £10) free. So even though it's pink I decided to order one. Then if I like the android software I can save for a HTC and plus I now have internet while in London without taking my lappy :T So the £30 has payed for internet + £20 talk time and a free phone that if I don't like can be recycled for £28. Win, win I think
So thats a round about way of saying I spent £30 today :rotfl:
Still undecided on the walk I really want to do it but Mum is reluctant to drive me there so unsure now, we shall see. I want to do something but I can't run this year so RFL etc are out of the question... I shall see
Have a great week all :j0 -
