I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks and went to Boots to buy Suntan lotion. They have a BOGOF offer on Soltan at the moment. The only problem is that you get the cheapest item free. If you are like me, you buy lotion for the wife, husband and children. You may also buy a sun stick for your lips/eyes and aftersun. These items are a lot cheaper!
What you need to do is only buy a couple of items at a time. I bought 2 bottles of factor 12 and then went to the checkouts - saving £16. I then bought 2 factor 8's and went to the checkouts - saving £16. Then, two the kids lotion saving £32 and lastly the aftersun saving £8. If I made only one trip to the checkout, instead of saving £72 I would only have saved around £36 - because the cheapest items are free. So although it may be a bit of a hassle, it only adds about 5 minutes to your shop and you can save nearly double what you would have!0 -
Yeah this is always the case with mix and match bogofs - DO THEM SEPERATELY0

Just phoned Boots as our local shops advantage card machine is always out of order and they gave me 500 points! I wasn't even on the scrounge, I asked what is was for and she said it was due to my inconvenience and apologised as she understood how frustrating it was......

My local boots store has no7 suncreams reduced to one quarter of the price then buy one get one free. All sorts of things from £1.37 up[lipscreen].
Then in their current brochure is a voucher for 200 points on any no 7 sun product.
I have been in a few times and each time I buy 2 products for maximum£2.75[sunscreen f15] then get another brochure for another points voucher.I have amassed nearly £20 in points for a spend of about £15 .travelover0 -
For those still looking for the Bodyscience foot lotion for which there was a free coupon in the Advantage magazine: in the Freebies section Cooper discovered and shared with us all that because of a national shortage of Foot Lotion the voucher can be redeemed for ANY product in the Bodyscience range, even a more expensive one! Several have tried this and been successful: till staff don't necessarily know about this but if they scan the voucher the money comes off!Signature removed for peace of mind0

You remember the suggestion a few weeks back about topping up your phone at Boots, thereby getting advantage points when you pay?
I sent off for a top-up card, not only for me, but for hubby. He needed his phone topped-up yesterday, so I took it into Boots, got one of those 100 points on £15 spend vouchers out of the machine, bought a few bits n bobs I needed, plus his £10 phone-top up. Also had a double points voucher, which I used as well.
Result: 230 points on a £16 spend - and hubby's got to give me £10 of that back! And I got an ex-Christmas gift set with posh shampoo, conditioner & 2 hair styling products (Beverly Cobella) for £4.50 as part of the shop - £4.99 per product usually!0 -
I have never got a coupon for a spend under £20, boo hiss.
Also how did they let you use the machine coupon AND the double poitns coupon @ the same time? It's usually *one coupon per transaction* these days.my advantage_card is like gold dush0 -
I am also hearing people are getting freebie points on their Meal Deals from the machine, but I can't do that unless i pay £7 to get to a Retail Park, as the branch in the centre of town took them away. They;ve got more snack bars and crisps in this week, but told me when i nosied about the sandwiches that those will NEVER come back as they now do not have any room for the chillers - sigh.my advantage_card is like gold dush0

My 1st bargain box arrived today. It had "Glass with care" stamped on it and packaged lovely...................but my Martini and tequila glasses were broken
I've emailed them , no response as yet. What are they normally like when something goes wrong? I'm quite new to Boots.com, so don't know.
LLWe are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0
