It's snowing :j Must of started just after I posted earlier, there's about 1cm on the ground :j
I have to go and let the chickens out, they're not going to be happy. Specially Ruby, she hates it. She picks her way along the garden very carefully, then finds a spot under a bush and sits there all day, lol.

They all just stood in the doorway, staring at the ground. Except Daisy, who took one look, turned around, and went straight back to bed :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Morning everyone
Bitsy hope you feel better soon.
JackieO have a lovely day.
Had a nice evening drinking mulled wine with a friend:D. DH went out and had to walk home because it started to snow rather heavy and there were very few taxis. DD home from uni, went out with her friend, they slept at friends house who lives a few doors away. This morning I looked out and can see two sets of footprints going through our garden in the direction of friends house highheels:eek: no idea if they had to walk home too.
Will spend the day working my way through DDs washing mountain. Then I must clean. Not sure what we are eating today, hope DH isnt hungover too much as I will need him to go shopping.
Have a good day everyone. Stay safe and warm.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Daisy has the right idea. Its still really dark here, sky looks full of it, not got to 1cm yet but I think we're on the fringes of the worst of it whereas I think your county has a weather warning. Morning all:j:j
Well its snowing here this morning, Looks like its been comming down for awhile there is couple of inchs under foot. The twins are very happy with this:) Its the twins chrismas party this morning at danceing and they have dressed in santa costums.
We are also meant to be going an a canal boat trip with santa at lunch time but i have a feeling its going to be called off  The canal will look lovley with all the snow about. But if its all froze over there is not much they can do really. We will see anyway.
Got no meal plans for today yet. We reallly should get a bit more sorted with this Not only to save money but also time.
My wife made the 3rd or 4th christmas cake (im loseing the plot with them now) last night. so that needs iceing at some point today. The cakes are lovley we have ourselfs alredy eaten one without iceing it. So that meant we were one down to start with. She has been makeing them as gifts to give family. She also needs to do us one with iceing ready for next week.
Most of the christmas cards taht we have sent out she has made herself. Im not so sure this has been money saveing as more of a bottemless pit that money has been put into:D But still everyone has loved there cards.
Well thats about it. I hope that you all have a greta day and them of you with snow be carefull if you are out and about.
enjoy your day:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

OK before anything else Gintotmelinda, it has snowed quite heavily overnight at least 2 inches and still coming down, please be very careful on your way to heathrow, maybe leave extra early, take it easy xx
Ok we have snow :T:j, still coming down blizard like and the sky looks full of it, OH is off to see of the boot sale is running (i doubt it) and dd is still in bed, so very peaceful here.
Got sisters dog while they are in spain, so will get them out for a walk later on, also want to go and price up a real tree for the conservatory.
Need to do a few jobs around the house, tiles to grout, and some paint to be touched up here and there. Will then snuggle down with my dd and watch a film.
Dinner tonight will be a salmon and pasta dish with creme fraiche, which is delish and very easy to make, dd will have quorn chicken with hers.
JackieO I hope you and your tribe make it to liverpool, have a great time xx
Hugs to anyone in need, keep safe and warm.

loulou, i'm really sorry to hear, besy wishses to you and your friend and her fam x
hope everyone else is feeling good, not ill(fat chance!) i've joined the ill brigade and am moping around the house in a blanket wishing i didn't have work today.
I finished off my christmas shopping yesterday in less than an hour, probably aided by the freak blizzard scaring everyone off. Weather was mental yesterday, random 10 minute hail shower made it look like an inch of snow everywhere, then sudden mini snow storms all afternoon! Hopefully it calms down for a few days so I can 1) get to work without freezing 2) get home to my parents' for christmas!
Will deep clean the flat after work today/tomorrow now the messy flatmates have gone, want to come back to a nice clean place after xmas.
Lidl have half price mussels this weekend, so that'll be dinnerLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Morning everyone
little bit of snow here and just looked at the my weather 2 site and the heavy snow they had forecast for today has gone away! Thats fine by me.
Have been up ages as OH had to go and do car things again today, I don't askam getting a little bit worried though that the car he bought is maybe not as good as he thought it was, but he tells me it just routine things.
I should have been doing housework and wrapping pressies but instead I have been playing with crochet, I had quite a few granny squares I made, then got fed up, was never going to make enough to be a blanket, well maybe a blanket for a fairy :rotfl: soooo this morning I have madethis obviously I will need to make another one too. I have already made a couple of sets of wrist warmers, I wear them over my gloves as both my wrists can be a bit dodgy in the cold weather.
Best go jump in the shower now and then get on with the things I should do.
Have a good day xxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Morning All,
Haven't read everything, will come back and do so later, its snowing heavily here but I need to go out and do my Christmas shopping and my sister's son is 11 on Monday and she's to get his stuff yet. Taking my spade etc with me. DS2 was meant to be going to a party but I'm not trusting someone else with him (they are meant to be going to the place in a mini bus) in this weather - that's if the roads are even passable - I am taking my shovel, flasks and blankets with me in case we get snuck. Still, my sis is good value for money, so it should be a laugh if nothing else!
Hope you get to Liverpool JackieO
Hugs spoons and hi5's all round. Wish me luckI think I am feeling brave after my last adventure in the snow!
