Next VIP slots 2010

I didnt ask what time period this related to, im assuming it was between the last sale and this one. I should have pointed out over the phone the reason for the returned goods is largely due to the inconsistent sizing they seem to have on the younger boys clothes this season. I always buy my little boys clothes from Next, have done since he was tiny, so would have thought the sizing would be the same year on year, but as i have already said it hasnt been this year. Im completely baffled as to what size to actually buy him as there seems little or no difference between last years 3-4 year old stuff and this years 4-5 year old and 5-6 year old stuff. He only turned 4 in August, but is fairly tall for his age. I have commented each time i returned stuff about the sizing being a fair bit smaller than last season and it fell on deaf ears. Guess i will have to start looking for his clothes elsewhere which is a real shame as Next stuff washes and wears really well and ive never had any issues with their clothes before now.

That’s really unlucky, you should have mentioned the sizing issue when you rang CS. At the last sale, my courier told me that they were starting to monitor returns and people who sent loads back would not be offered a VIP slot. I still sent a lot back after the sale, but then I do order regular and don’t send much back at other times. I find their sizing is inconsistent too and I have ordered my son 2 coats in 3 different sizes this time as I’ve no idea which will fit. Two years ago, I ordered my 8 year old a ski jacket in age 5-6 and it’s still too big. Also ordered trousers in 2 lengths and the petite were longer than the regular! You’d think they would know about the sizing from the returns info we fill in when sending things back!

nothing I wanted was in stock by the time my slot came around. I still managed to spend £100, but I don't know if it will all be returned, you just can't trust the sizing nowadays. So bang goes my next VIP slot then lol!

My slot was at 6am and I got most of what I wanted bar a couple of things that went in the first 5mins of the sale. I went through the list beforehand and put all the codes into a word document then copy and pasted them when it was my time. Made it so much quicker and I finished my shop in under 10mins plus it stopped me from buying things I really didn't need.
I did notice though that a number of things that were in the preview disappeared just before the sale went live. Checked on their main site and these items are still available. Not sure why they did that, maybe it is being held back for the general sale???

I don't get a directory but I still got a VIP invitation. I told them about two years ago that I never used the directory - that was the whole point of online shopping, I look online. I've never seen the point of paying for a directory just to clutter up the house.

I know I should have mentioned on the phone to CS yesterday about the sizing issues, but kind of felt there wasnt much point as the VIP slots for this sale have gone out. But will definately bear it in mind for the forthcoming months as i would love a vip slot for the summer sale as i will of had my second baby by then

I did exactly the same thing. I noticed a mattress in the Preview. It then disappeared before my slot, but was available at Full Price. When I was in my slot I still entered the code for the item in Quickshop and it added it to my bag at the Sale Price.
When I checked out it stated the item will be despatched in 6 weeks direct from the manufacturer. Result!

Always worth a try entering the codes in Quickshop. You never know!

Brill :j, didn't think of doing it that way and just picked up a couple of more bits. Slightly confusing though as went into my basket at full price (even though I went through the VIP bit) but with a sale sign next to it and then the total I paid was different from those prices. Will just have to see what comes out of my bank and then query it if needs be.

1st time with a VIP slot but all of the items i wanted had already gone! Will have to try instore on the 27th!

yes but it says it will override the previous slot - would this mean my previous order would be cancelled as i dont want to do that
