this is obviously good news but I use 0800 buster (01208 340800) successfully for these from my mobile. the main problem I have is with 0870 and 0845 numbers or 0844 which a lot of places have moved onto as they are still allowed to take revenue from these.
quote from the news story - "Ofcom will introduce a cap on 'business' and 'premium rate' numbers, though the values have yet to be decided."
if these were capped at 5p/min or the equivalent landline rate - that would be a start.
are there proposals in this document to do this for 0844 etc; ? I have read parts of the full document but it is very jargon-filled.0 -
0800 and other freephone numbers are already free on Giffgaff.

Calls to 07 numbers will be charged at mobile rates.
What about 070 numbers that can sometimes be premium rate...you know the ones, where Doris is sitting at home in her suspenders waiting for big boys like you?The man without a signature.0 -
