Can anyone tell me how to insert a quote bit from a previous message into a reply - like vanoonoo did in reply #36 ???

The rest of it is over my head and I'm itching to practice but don't want to look completley daft!

But the quoteing from earlier in the same post is easy... just click on the "Quote" icon on the reply (top right of box) you want to quote from and it appears in your reply box. Where you can delete any bits you don't need before adding your reply beneath.  ;D

If you want to quote from 2 places you have to cut and paste I think.

    that's right wishfairy :)

and don't worry about practising, jsut try it out in a reply and keep hitting preview (middle button) instead of post (first button) under the reply screen that you type in. then you can see if you are doing it right or not - but I am sure you'll get the hang of it :D

I'm so glad that my question helped so many people! It helps me to reason out that I am not stupid beyond belief if others didn't know as well :)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
