Please can someone explain how you do a link to refer someone to another THREAD on this site. ::)

I can do the normal CLICK HERE thingy but when it comes to adding the thread number I get abit lost. :-/

If possible to explain as simple as possible as this thread has come up quite alot of times and its good to be able to refer people to it as it has been so helpful but it doesn't explain how to add a thread number. :)
Hope I've explained it simple enough, thanks for your time on this. 8)

Open the thread you want to refer to in one Explorer window.

Open the thread you want to put the link in in another and press REPLY.

Copy the full URL of the target thread from the Explorer address bar (highlight and CTRL-C).

Paste it into your reply, highlight and press the URL button to get "[ url ]" around it.

Add your shorter wording if you want to by amending the coding to "[ url=HTTP://blah blah blah]Short title[/url]".
